This song & video are gorgeous, it’s a bop, it’s a banger, it’s groovy, it’s a vibe, it’s old school, it’s stunning, it’s nostalgic, it’s fresh, it’s glamorous, it’s creative, it’s swag, it’s classy, it’s retro, it’s incredible! YG wanted Pharita to spread her wings🦋 in the pre-debut videos, as well as continue working on her power ⚡️ … she delivered and then some! But they all 7 truly did! 401 at the beginning was for their 7 member debut April 1st.
So I am surprised that people aren't saying that BABYMONSTER is copying BLACKPINK concept in the fact that this feels more like their BABY-side than their MONSTER-side. Technically BLACKPINK's concept is Pretty Savage. BLACK = SAVAGE and PINK = PRETTY. BABY - YOUTHFUL, CUTE, PRETTY and MONSTER = TALENT, ATTITUDE, SAVAGE.
The lyrics are written similar to BLACKPINK songs in the sense that they have a deeper meaning than what it seems like on the surface.BLACKPINK had to reply to their haters and they did it in a song (well a couple of songs actually snap back at haters) and BABYMONSTER with this song is kind of doing with this song.

Having opposite sides isn't a Blackpink concept. Red Velvet have a Red and Velvet side (Bad Boy vs Red Flavor), as do other groups. The similarities are due to them both being YG groups. This is very much a YG summer bop style. Closer to something that 2ne1 would do than BP though.

@@TheShabzz Just saying tha there are a lot of haters out there that will have negative comments because they want to criticize YG on something. So far the concept for each song has been different but everyone wants to say that YG is just recycling and being lazy. But what it seems to me is that YG is trying to find that identity that separates BABYMONSTER from 2NE1 and BLACKPINK but still keep that YG style. The one thing is that if they go too far and it flops then people are going to complain about how they are not using BABYMONSTER's talent correctly which is the same criticism that they get now. So no matter what YG does to produce them they will never win.

I respect every verse. But it’s too cutesy/girly. I love rap but also love dream and stuck in the middle. For some reason this just feels so different. I’ve tried groups like twice and itzy and this just feels like them. It doesn’t have the YG impact.
I don’t know what to recommend you. So far the best vids are fan cam stuff. Dream in Bangkok. Chiquita completely breaks down crying. Others are close. Asa can’t finish her rap because she is crying too. I struggled to watch it. But shows how much they care.

They weren’t copying. It was a similar format that worked. Now you could say they are copying other girls groups. But everything has been done. It’s pretty hard to make something new. And song could be compared to another.
I clearly said no disrespect. I love babymonster. I’ve seen everything from the black and white live vids. I was just a few days late. Every m/v I’ve watched the countdown.
