As a side sleeper (6'1" 195#), I find that it has to be blown up very full to keep my hip off the ground, and after it cools a bit it loses a fair amount of volume, requiring blowing it up again during the night. My second peeve is the valve cover- it sometimes closes easily and other times can take minutes to get it snapped- not good at 2 AM. It takes about 35 full breaths to inflate. After several attempts I still have not been able to get enough air out of it to fit back in its stuff bag. It is comfortable, and nice not to be rolling off of a narrower pad. I use the 3/4 original Thermarest from my camp chair to pad the hip area. Not sure I will use the Vluxe for fall and spring hiking.
Nice review, 👍
Yup this is definitely the one I need, same issues rolling over and I think this will fit nearly edge to edge in the XL tent cot I ordered.
Thank you!! Earned a sub!
Slept on mine twice before it developed a leak 2 inches from valve in fabric. Would not recommend.
Nice, agreed. can you tell me your tents name? I'm also 6'3". THANKS
Original reviewer here: The tent is a Hotcore Mantis 1. Hotcore is pretty good bang for your buck as a mid tier tent. We've used them exclusively for years now.
how has it held up since th review ? Any punctures or repairs needed. Any deflation?
The view at 3:53 🥵 damn!
So, you already forget about this? No follow up review on leaking?
Make sure the flip valve is completely shut. If not it will slowly leak down. Only negative I have is the valve cover cap is difficult to snap shut. It is very comfortable.
