Why even wear gloves if you don’t have 2 on you’re still touching the pen with bare hands defeats the purpose

This Pen was a sample, i wear one glove because that gives me the chance to always reclean the pen when i touch it with bare hands. It's something i used to do during my apprentice in the watch industry. We would wear one glove because it looked less like a Waiter. So it has remained sticked in my habits.
