Frame gen seems not to work. It added 0 fps
nixxes doing the ghost of tsushima port makes me so happy. its nice to play a pc port at launch that isnt a stuttery mess
nixxes never dissappoints
Finally a game that isn't unoptimized mess.
Yes! Check out for example Dragon's Dogma 2. Even preliminary tests showed that Dragon's Dogma 2 was very poorly optimised. Currently Dragon's Dogma 2 is a trash! Many people were waiting for that game, and the way it was released is scandalous!
Are you bored with Horizon Forbidden West???? @Dankina667 I have never heard such nonsense from anyone!

Yeah ! Ratchet and clack rift a part was same.
Sony Games are on point
Thanks as always and dlss 3.6.0 has just been released)
Thank you for the info!
60FPS at 4K! 4070 is a beast!
There would be more fps, but I guess the video uploader has a 60 Hz 4K monitor, it can only display 60 fps. Correct me if I'm wrong!
@@peterkarminas9512 😂 wrong.
@@RX7800XTBenchmarks he's right, 4k is possible with card, you just have to use DLSS performance, while it does render from 1080p but looks almost the same as native. Also, I have 4080 maxed this game, using DLSS quality and my vram usage is only 10GB.
@@Ragssssss vram usage is different on each system. 10gb usage on a 16gb card should see no problems. 10gb on a 12gb with frame generation on top will give performance issues, wether it's stuttering and poor FPS boost
@@RX7800XTBenchmarks someone here on CZcams did test this game at 4k with FG and they were using 4070, ran with no problems whatsoever, not a single stutter either. Also, their VRAM usage wasn't touching 11GB, this is with max settings however.
Your dlss 4k fps seems low? I updated my BIOS and on the Very High preset I get 95-110fps on a dual fan 4070 using a 7800x3D
awesome, the video i was looking for
Happy to help!
why you have the field of view at 0 and the latency only in on and the sharpness also at 0 while running the game at 1080?
is it better to pass the 60 fps cap or better looking at 60??
thanks for your answer MX
I noticed that the intro tutorial area had many spots with weird blurring and artifacts. I'd suggest trying the game once it gets going after Barren Light you may get better fps.
I didnt think that the 4070 was this powerful, now that I have it is very impressive nice vid
wich monitor is in use with this execution of Horizon 2 ?
1:35 why did turning on DLSS FG barely have any effect on the framerate?
Because Frame Generation at 4K has its own performance cost (the performance cost varies depending on a game and GPU power) and in this game Frame Generation in general does not double your FPS even at 1080p in GPU limited scenarios.
@@MxBenchmarkPCThat makes sense, thanks!
@TheGoncas2 happy to help!
LOL yes, I noticed that too, probably thought it was some glitch. I think then for extra few fps, it is completely fine to go with BALANCED as it still looks close to native providing nice boost in performance.
I think it's less the performance cost and more the VRAM cost. There is quite a bit of overhead for base 1440p being upscaled to 4K with FG ON and the cost of these are not shown on the Vram value for some reason.
Hi, I have a LG C1 TV, which can go for 4k 120Hz.
Im thinking of buying a new graphics card but Im unfamiliar with graphics card.
Can this RTX 4070 allow 4k resolution with 100 + FPS for horizon forbidden west?
What criteria should be fulfilled to get it.
Coz in the vid it only shows 4k 60Hz even with DLSS.
RTX 4070 can't run this game at 4K and 100+ fps. To achieve your needs you'll need at least an RTX 4080 with DLSS SR and DLSS FG active. I also tested the RTX 4080 in this game, you can find that video in the recent videos here on this channel.
@MxBenchmarkPC I see. Sorry that Im new to this and still researching. As I understand that rtx 4080 and 4070 has big price difference.
What if I adjust the settings of game, i.e switch "very high" switch to "high", and lower down those "shadow" etc effects.
Would these diff adjustments able to boost the FPS to like 90+ in 4k for rtx4070?
@DaNaceSpaden Medium-High settings with DLSS in Performance mode probably will do the job. But that's too many sacrifices in my opinion.
U need the rtx 4090
Very nice optimization. Do you think the visual upgrades are worth selling my PS5 disc and getting it on PC?
Only if your PC can handle 4K max settings with at least 60fps.
@@MxBenchmarkPC Well judging from this video, I guess my 4070 can. :) Thank you.
@msnehamukherjee happy to help.
RTX4070 user here with 2560x1440 @60Hz display (no GSync):
No in-game benchmark so I came to CZcams to guess at settings. It seems like running everything at MAX, at 2560x1440, VSYNC ON, using DLSS Dynamic might make the most sense. I haven't tested that yet but based on the Ratchet & Clank game I think VSYNC should play nice with Dynamic DLSS. And it seems like I should be close to my monitor resolution anyway (so essentially DLAA) and any DIPS might be covered by using "Dynamic" (though likely not CPU bottlenecks).
Anyway, that's my starting point. (I don't recommend Frame Gen unless the final FPS is over 80FPS as it introduces lag. So you'd have to experiment and the benefits vary by the GPU processing power you have as well)
Yes, in this game I strongly recommend using DLSS DRS 60fps mode for 60Hz display owners.
For me anything above 60fps is ok for single player title to enable FG, and input lag is negligible, but sure you must be sensitive to it like few people.
According to Blur Busters ("G-SYNC 101: Optimal G-SYNC Settings & Conclusion") for optimal input lag and best tear-free gaming experience, V-Sync is always recommended to be turned on when Freesync/G-Sync is used and should be paired with in-game fps lock 3 frames below your refresh rate, or locked in nvidia control panel if in-game fps limiter is not available.
Using 3080ti/Ryzen 7700 (OC at 5.5GHZ). Averaging 85 FPS at 4k with dlss quality. Unfortunate that framegen is not available. Also helped that my dram is optimized at 6200mhz and 2167 mhz fclock (latency and bandwidth support enabled).
I have a 4070 as well, and like you GPU utilization is always under 90%, not a CPu bottleneck issue I think considering it's low usage... Hope it'll get fixed soon.
It's Reflex is messing with the performance if your fps is higher than your monitors refresh rate. Disabling Reflex fixes the problem.
I can confirm it is reflex@@MxBenchmarkPC
Looks like good cpu optimization not suprised because of Nixxes
The graphics of the game are very nice. But not so much that the 4070 can't hold native 1440P at 60FPS....
The optimization is not great at all. So many sony ports have this issue
@@thomaseruchie1262 Please tell me a current gen game that runs better than this game at Ultra/Very High settings.
@@kotztotz3530 hell divers 2,read dead redemption 2 looks better and runs betters, resident evil 4 remake, plague tale requiueme and ratchet and clank. these games are visually stunning titles. all run at native resolution and dont need frame gen and dlss just to run at 60 fps at 60 fps on a frigging 3080 level hardware. all these titles give u way higher fps and utilize your hardware much better , use your brain if u ve got one.
@@thomaseruchie1262what ? It's clearly optimized , the game is heavy because the level of detail and graphics in general are actually impressive , it might not use Ray tracing but besides that the game it's problaby one of the best looking ones out there right now ... I saw no stutters at all and imo thats awesome , i know games that gets you more FPS than this one but they are a stutter fest , i'll rather play at a stable 60fps than 120 with stutters
@@thomaseruchie1262 4070 just suck , the game run pretty well 4k native on my pc 😂
Does the game have fsr 3? If yes, will you test it?
This game does not support FSR 3 at launch day. They will add it in future updates.
NICE VIDEO MAN, RTX 4070 IS INSIANE FOR GAMNG
Thanks!
Can i get more fps ok 4080 +i7 14700k?
New to pc gaming. I have a 4070. 1440p monitor. Can I play this game max settings with 100fps+?
With DLSS SR and Frame Generation - sure.
5fps extra frame gen? At 4k
When will TPU perf review be up?
I don't know about GPU performance review, but DLSS/FSR/XeSS review will be published in a few days.
Wait does this mean the ps5 is better then the 4070 coz the ps5 can to 120hz 4K ?
Laptop i7 13th gen 16gb ram 4060 graphic how much can fps
You can find the Horizon Forbidden West RTX 4060 benchmark video in the recent videos here on this channel.
I also have the 4070 and I get 45 fps but the graphics only works at 60%, I already updated the Nvidia drivers and reinstalled the games and the problem is not solved.
your cpu model?
Does FG work with DLAA?
Yes, DLAA with Frame Generation was tested in this video.

Yes, with DLSS enabled.
@@MxBenchmarkPC Wow, the optimization of this game is pretty good then. I hope the optimization of GTA 6 will be like this.
Can run it in high with rtx 2060 super ? 1080p ?
With DLSS on Quality or by using DLSS DRS 60fps mode - no problem.
@@MxBenchmarkPC thanks friend i suscribe
@nahuelcarreti4719 thanks!
the test of fg is not precise...
the usage will less than 90% and loss 10 fps if u set "reflex boost" instead of "reflex on".
this setting even decreases 1% low fps and leads to stutter.
Make a comparison of dlss 3.6 and 3.5.10
I'll look into it after I'm done with Horizon Forbidden West and Dragon's Dogma 2 testing.
Wich games are using dlss 3.6 as of right now ? 🤔
Sad to see rtx4070 never crosses 100 fps on 2k even with DLSS 😭
I cant use frame Generation? Have a 4070 ti super
Make sure you are using the latest Windows 10/11 version and NVIDIA drivers, also hardware accelerated GPU scheduling must be enabled in your Windows settings in order to utilize DLSS Frame Generation.
@@MxBenchmarkPC i forgot to activade the option in grafic settings in Windows
I don't understand why tf nvidia frame gen didn't even increase 20 FPS in 4k ? If without frame gen were getting near 60 FPS then enabling frame gen definetly would be at least increase it to 70+ at minimum. yet enabling frame gen barely increased under 10 FPS 😑
I wonder 4090 8k 60+ fps possible?
Should be possible with DLSS.
Currently play 8K and frames are all over the place even with DLSS 35-55 fps...they need to fix this with an update
8k is still like least decade away from now to be even considered....not sure why would you go that route as this game can run 4k with ease due to optimization. Sure 4090 could do 8k at 40 - 40fps, but common won't you rather be over 60fps all of the time, instead of 40ish experience?
what about native 4k in 4070? I havent seen it yet
Because it’s not an 4k card..
It can fairly do well. I have 4080 & my vram is not touching 11gb mark, thus I believe there won't be vram issues with this one.
@@Ragssssss just run out of power.no issues with vram.
@@szmitike with 4k DLSS performance it is quite possible.
