thanks again for your lovely reactions, Jared & Jordan!đ„ and btw *_yes_* to Haikyuu evokes memories for anyone who, at least once, played sports. Or even for anyone who's still an athlete now. and it's NOT limited to just volleyball.
+ If my memory serves right, the author, Furudate sensei, used to play vball in high school (hence the details about volleyball was mostly accurate & realistic) and he did a very thorough research for Haikyuu materials! Including the gym you saw here, you said it looked like an airport lounge, is actually a real gym: Kamei Sendai Stadium. You can search it up on google & be taken aback at how accurate it is in the anime, like you can really imagine if the Haikyuu boys existed and actually went there.
+ Idk if you two noticed, before Hinata did anything/made a score, Oikawa was seemed uninterested, sat at the back, & even yawned to the ongoing game. But at 30:20 he went all awake, went up-front to the stand, and was in awe with Hinata. I know this might've seemed disrespectful to other players in Karasuno, but I think you need to keep in mind that Oikawa is one of the very first few people who actually very _intrigued_ with Hinata despite him still lacking of skills & intuition in volleyball. At first I thought it was the demon/freak quick Hinata-Kageyama used that he's in awe with, but no. It was Hinata. Even in the practice match with Seijoh, Oikawa noticed Hinata didn't close his eyes and he really _saw_ him at the other side of the court (when Hinata's eyes got zoomed in) and he finished it off by making a point of it. It's like Hinata was in the zone, so he might've had subconsciously take it as a challange to score off a point against the Great King, Oikawa. That's why when he waited at the gate when Karasuno was leaving, he complimented Hinata directly by saying his one touch & broad shot at the end of the game were good and not for once he thought it was a fluke. I think this small detail said a lot about him as a highly-skilled player himself & a very observant setter. You'll get to appreciate it even more in Season 2 tho đđ
no spoilers please đ
The shoes signifies that Karasuno embraces individuality. That your role, no matter how different to the others, is an important piece to the cogs (đ) that keeps the engine running.
I see what you did there lol
Karasuno's revival babyy. This show is fr so relatable. I had play volleyball before when i was younger and after watching the show the fire for wanting to play again hit me like a train.
I read you comnent in the most awsome voice lol đ
Can't wait for your upcoming reactions...i wish we could get 2 eps per weekđ„č
24:00 that shoes are next to the court line on both sides - it simbolizes that those teams, those guys are at the "starting line" of the tournament.
Also, "Go Go Let's Go Let's Go DaTeKo" is the best chant of all teams đ„łđ„łđ„ł
Great reaction! I can't wait for the next episode.
BTW, the smell of the gym Hinata mentioned, "Air Salonpas" is the name of a Japanese product which is a spray to cool down overheated muscles.
Haikyu opening are pretty good when it comes to spoilers, so you should be fine watching them as they appear
20:06 Aoba Johsai/Seijoh came to play too. But since they were seeded within best 4 last tournament, they don't have to play at least 1 intro match (I forgot how the bracket looks like, but you can go back to last episode to check specifically how many matches Seijoh can skip because they're seeded). So they have time to observe possible future opponents.

This show makes you want to play sports so bad
