Strasser came to my college in the early seventies and spoke. His speech appeared to be strong on opposition to Hitler but rather light on his own faults. Still, very interesting to hear from someone who lived in a time of turmoil.

    Otto Johann Maximilian Strasser
    10 September, 1897 - 27 August, 1974
    He was a German politician.
He was an early member of the Nazi Party.
Otto Strasser, together with his brother Gregor Strasser, was a leading member of the party's more radical wing, whose ideology became known as Strasserism, and broke from the party due to disputes with the dominant Hitlerite faction.
He formed the Black Front, a group intended to split the Nazi Party and take it from the grasp of Hitler.
During his exile and World War II, this group also functioned as a secret opposition group.

I really ENJOYED this documentary about Otto Strauser but since he exiled himself to Canada. I think it would be really cool if someday this channel could have documentaries on Canadian people. Because I feel like the history of Canada is not talked about much nowadays and neither is the history of Australia. So of course I’m NOT telling the peoples profiles what to do. I’m just suggesting that it put more other things on this channel like that other kind of history because I don’t know much about the history of Canada or Australia. Again The People Profiles does NOT have to put that on there. I’m just saying sometimes people feel like they want something new for a change. And The People’s Profiles certainly has done a lot of documentaries on WWII people.

It boggles my mind Hitler still lives especially in the US. Some soldiers who fought against fascism have children and grandchildren today who hail Hitler. Missouri Senator Josh Hawley proclaimed himself a Christian Nationalist and republicans just voted for him again in their primary. They hear/see Christian with a (R) after the name and that's their guy! And then you have ex rep Madison Cawthorn in a wheel chair who worships Hitler not knowing the Nazi's would have wheeled him into a gas chamber, dumped him on the ground and killed him with zyklon B. I'm 67 and learned much about WW2 in school. I guess WW2 isn't taught much in school any more, I think it should be again.

obviously the most correct description for otto strasser was that he was the '''trostky''' of the nationalsocialist party,,after the second world war the '''remaining elite''' [ex nazis] never has forgotten his behaviour and denied eaven to provide him a national pension,,,
in other words national socialism never died in germany but still until today the sons and the grand sons of nazi members are ruling
the country from various posts,,, he gave his fight and he paid the price,,,
ironically during the cold war we also have many other examples of ingratitude such as the case of phil kirby a russian spy working for kgb who escaped from england to russia in 1952,, he died lonely and completely isolated and forgoten by the russians,,,
it seems that policy is very often very ungratefulnes and ruthless,,,,,

Too hard to tell. On the one hand, something like the Holocaust would probably not have happened under Strasser. There are levels of anti-Semitism. On the other hand, his branch of National Socialism would probably never have gained power in the first place. It was interconnected with the ruthlessness of characters like Reinhard Heydrich.

Brought up in religious households and through experience or something lost their faith. He became an atheist so he wouldn't count. John Ruskin, is different. He definitely tried to bring together Christianity and socialism. I'll have to read more about him other than what I found on the internet so I can try to unravel this way of thinking. It's obvious that socialism is influenced by Christian altruism. However what it lacks is discipline and it pushes a very childish sense of morality.
