YES I'm not allowed to get a job until i graduate high school and I might still be 17 when i start college
I am a property manager, you wonât mess up your credit by not paying rent, you will mess up your rental history, which follows you. You will be denied when trying to rent elsewhere. You will have a VERY hard time finding a place that will let you rent with them if you cause extensive damage or donât pay your rent

Literally two of my coworkers are moving to LA in august and they said theyâre just transferring to another chipotle over there and in my head I was like âwowww good lucky with living pay check to pay check for a whileâ itâs so expensive over there itâs insane

You also can check to see if your bank offers auto save! My account is set where every time $200 or more is deposited , $80 is automatically saved. So I get paid weekly at my job, making about $400 a week Iâd save $80 of it without even knowing. (This was when I was in high school, but it worked great!) I was with Chase Bank.
great idea! Some jobs also allow for direct deposit to be split into different accounts (checking, savings) :)
Nowadays. !! Parents Assign there kids to Light Bills , Cable , Water Bill or WiFi & It actually takes a toll on you. Because all the money your thinking/saying your going to âSaveâ Your Parent is literally in your pocket ... Saying âDid you pay this & thatâ When you were only suppose to Pay one thing . But your Paying one of there extra bills because they want to have there money to there selves đ€!

My paychecks get sent directly to my savings account, it helps me not touch much since its very tedious to transfer money around alot

I want to move out so bad but I won't be able to get it done as effectively because my mom claims "I work hard, single mom of 4 is not easy" and therefore she deserves to have us pay one of her bills and "take me out for drinks and buy us dinner". I get and respect it but how am I supposed to take care of myself like you want so badly if I'm taking care of your stuff? Once me and my older brother hit 16 almost 17 she just dropped majority of responsibility of us and complains about how we need to get it together get a job and move out. Smh so backwards makes no sense. Now it's even worse now that I'm 18 and almost over with first semester of HS senior year.đ„
When your 18 you are not responsible to have to stay with her or/and pay her bills and you also definitely donât need to buy her drinks and food when she always asks. I am not saying you shouldnât give her anything but if she gaslights you into doing something your donât want or canât afford thatâs bad. When she gave birth to you sheâs supposed to take care of you and love you and not give you the bare minimum and turn to you and your sibling and say âI raised you so give me money and take care of my problemsâ. It also doesnât make sense if you move away, thatâs one less person she has to feed and then she saves money AND she wants you to move out but pay her bills when you wonât even live with her which makes 0 sense. I say apply to jobs ASAP when you turn 18 and rent a room at least and then when you have a more stable income and your on your feet get an apartment for yourself. Anyways good luck on your journey and sorry for rambling, I donât usually give advice but hopefully this lil paragraph of mine give you some piece of mind. :^)

I turn 18 in a year and 2 months Iâm starting to save to move of a toxic household with my boyfriend at the beginning of March next year and need something to help me and this has helped me a lot I suck at saving and itâs hard

Rent in Missouri is 600$ sometimes less. Also gas is pretty cheap here as well. I think were one of the cheapest places to live in America. :) There are some issues with it.

I only have my last paycheck of $300 from my old job, I still work there but I need a new job with more hours. My friends are renting and want me to move in which I need, TOXIC HOUSEHOLD. With them Iâd pay $200 a month, idk idl what to do đ©

@@marycastro1551 ay get another job man. Work two jobs, figure out which one has better potential and had better benefits. Go from there and beg for more hours. Wish you luck man. Remember health insurance too. Don't get a car, get a cheap bike until you have enough money, insurance is expensive man! Good luck!
@@marycastro1551 hey, i haven't quite moved out but i'm in a similar situation as you and found a few tips. like the other reply says, working two jobs is good to figure out which job is best for you. if you need a second job for a while to afford all your things, its totally workable. Buying used is your best bet for a car if you really need one and cant share with your friends efficiently. you'd have to personally inspect the car well but it would be so much cheaper to find a relatively old and well used model of a car than a new one. if you plan on moving in with them for sure, it could be more efficient if you guys split the costs of food as well, it would probably save you guys more money individually. buying groceries and cooking at home would be healthier and a lot cheaper than getting fast food too tbh... if possible, find a job near the place your friends are renting at so you could walk to work until you can afford a car.

@@heliossa846 I would love to have to jobs but I work at Walmart now, and I have a dog now. He has helped me a lot mentally and is my best friend. I cry all the time for leaving him and moving out would help him since my friends have their dogs so atm I donât think a second job is good for us. But I get a decent pay at Walmart and get extra hours sometimes. Iâm looking into getting a car loan and looking for a good used car so yes thank you for that recommendation. We live pretty far from my job so a car is needed sadly, hope I find a good working car though. Thank you best of luck to you too

Saving lives
I'm really scared I'm 17 and I plan on moving out at 18 but I'll still be in high school but I'll only be taking 2 classes per day. My family is not supportive they can be hurtful at times but sometimes are perfect and I know it will hurt them to leave but I feel like I'm stuck between staying and having a cheaper option or leaving but hurting the relationship we have. Any advice?

Honestly this is similar to me. I love my parents a lot and I get what u mean by they can be hurtful sometimes but they can be perfect as well like I understand that. And I wanna move out as well but I feel like I'm gonna hurt them đ also bc its a cheaper option but I wanna live independently

In certain ways, yes. But in other ways, itâs not as easy; like thereâs more responsibilities and self disciplining. I like it more than high school though!
