What nurse managers need to do is treat their nurses with respect and not belittle the issues n conversations that are brought to the table. What is said in your office should stay in the office. Many, many nurse managers confide in their nurses to tell them what is said in the office and by whom. This is unprofessional and creates an environment of gossip which interferes with the integrity of the nurse manager thus creating mistrust.
How do you" make sure u have enough staff" ? Huh by telling the poor nurses to take a larger patient load!!While you sit in your office with your feet up and go to meetings all day?
