  • Keurig released the K-Supreme Plus SMART during the sumemr of 2021 as an upgrade to the K-Supreme Plus which was released in 2020.
This new SMART machine adds to the base feature set of the Supreme Plus by expanding the programmable presets, improving the display, increasing the number of temperature and strength options, and adding connectivity to your wifi network.
When connected new features become available including remote and programed brewing, renaming of favorites, pairing with Alexa enable devices for audible control of the brewer, and k-cup monitoring.

BTW, I personally own every modern Keurig sold in stores and I help customers understand the differences between them all to the best of my ability.

Interesting to see the features they are now packing into these machines. I'd brew a cup remotely then totally forget about till later. Lol I would need a future version to brew and bring it to me.

Hehe, robot machines that deliver the coffee :D As for brewing without a cup I know for a fact (because I am stupid sometimes) that you can brew an 8-oz cup into the drip tray and nothing spills on the counter. It fills the tray up to the top but not over the edge. This doesn't help with forgetting about the brewed cup which I'm sure I'd do too but more frequently I'd forget to put the cup there in the first place!

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. czcams.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

After about a year of using my Keurig Express Essentials, a power-surge took her life (my mistake for not unplugging her), and ended upgrading to the K-Supreme Plus which despite it's tiny screen, I still love it for it's simplicity, and I don't really adjust the too settings much after the initial configuration. I do enjoy the 6oz "Over Ice" setting here and there, but not something that is my daily driver in terms of how I normally take my cup. The basic three-way preset is simple enough for me to configure since I'm solely the only user, and end up setting the 2nd preset for my travel mug (14oz), and thanks to your video I can set the 3rd preset for when I do the rinsing portion. Overall, I really enjoyed this review of the the Plus vs Smart machines, thanks!

I wonder if we could invent some sort of "Doc Brown-style" pod-loading magazine system with a robot arm, similar to what he used in Back to the Future to feed Einstein. Whomever figures that out and makes it will make a fortune, because then you don't need to load a pod beforehand. Would just need an app/browser system to log in and choose your pod, like an old-school jukebox.

The brand I buy the most frequently is REVV No Surrender available on Amazon, I also buy a lot of the plastic cup-less options such as Boyd's or SF Bay Coffee and I also really like the Cafe Bustelo coffees too. With Keurig I almost always stick with the darkest roasts because they extract better at lower temps, when brewing through other methods my preference is light roasts for that acidic punch. Here's an affiliate link to the REVV variety I have bought many times over the last few years: www.amazon.com/Keurig-Roast-Coffee-K-Cup-Surrender/dp/B07DQQDDDZ/?tag=tomcpyt-20

Just for information I have several smart appliances and smart lights connected through Google (can't really speak for Alexa). But, I set up my girlfriends routine (she's ready to leave home at 6:30 AM every morning Monday-Friday). The app right at 6:30 asks her if she wants to brew her coffee. It's a good thing it asks because you're going to want to have a new pod and mug placed before it runs. This can all be done without a Google connection. Now as for Google, you can ask it to turn on/off through the speaker if you'd like it to turn on any other time. I used to have the old Keurig device where everything was done through the machine itself, but I'm really liking it being on an app instead, it's just quicker and gives you a little bit more "freedom" on schedule and choices. Disabling wifi will not allow the BrewID to reach out to the internet and get new identification for new pods. Bad idea. Might as well should've bought the older coffee maker without it. It also adjusts strength and settings automatically with BrewID. I'm keeping mine turned on and also have a subscription where they send more pods before I run out.

I just bought this on 12-10 having issues brewing cause of the Wi-Fi. Keurig said it really needs Wi-Fi work properly. I think might return new exchange today since if this one is bad 😢. What thoughts Wi-Fi?

I couldn't get Keurig to give me a difinitive answer, what store bought brand names waters are ok to use with a Keurig? Is Fiji or Life Water safe to use?

Good question and unfortunately it's one I don't have the answer to right now. I'd have to do a lot of digging because I've never thought to research it. I use regular bottled water or our personal well water and never had a problem but I do maintain my brewers more than most people too.

@@TopOffMyCoffee The reason I ask is because despite routine maintenance, I'm on my third K mini plus. All with the same problem it starts to brew, drains the water from the reservoir, then simply does nothing. I've seen on other CZcams videos where people with that model have the exact same repetitive problem. Keurig suggests only using tap water or spring water, but despite the convenience of time saving I want to still make the best tasting cup of coffee I can so I had been using Fiji water, which upon looking up Fiji water is listed as a spring water where they do not add minerals that would clog up the machine. I am considering upgrading to either k supreme plus or a case supreme plus smart but in the event that it is not that model machine with a problem but rather the water being used I do not want to damage a considerably more expensive unit Keurig will not give me a brand by brand okay and I figure you would be the next best person to ask. Love your reviews Love your channel any information on best bottled brand water to use that's okay for the internal components would greatly be appreciated thank you.

I tried out the Supeme Plus Smart and returned it. With all the hype and improved specs, I got worse coffee than my old Supreme. So far the best brew so far requires more effort than Keurig, but the OXO Brew Single Serve Pour-Over Coffee Maker seems to be a winner. It is a "pour over" in essence but requiring MUCH less effort than other traditional pour overs. I preheat the OXO with boiling water and use the absolutely fresh nitrogen packed K-cups which I open with a knife and dump the grounds into the filter.

Do you know what the machine changes to adjust the brew strength? Does it pump the water faster or slower to change the brew time?

Pumps the water slower to get a stronger brew.

@@dougv7728 Thanks, I got a K-Supreme Plus Smart a few weeks ago and love it. The brew strength and temp settings are important to me as I also use it a lot to brew tea in the My K-Cup and different teas need different temps and brew times.
