- There are a variety of stands who’ve been introduced within Jojo. Some can solo the entire universe. Others can be super helpful in information gathering. However, there exist stand that have the capacity to wipe out all human life on earth if they really tried. I call these extinction level stands, and their unique abilities gives them the potensial to be world ending calamities. Now to be an extinction level stand doesn’t mean you are one of the most powerful. It just means their stand abilities are uniquely tailored for the art of mass destruction when used in a certain way, abilities that can take out large groups of people in mere seconds. So, I’ve thought of 12 stands that fit this category of extinction level, so let me briefly explain every one of them and how their abilities put them in such a tier.

Pretty sure Kira wouldn't be able to attach BtD to the internet, *however,* as is shown in the arc, multiple people at a time can be exploded. So all he really needs to do is force someone to shout his name out into a large crowd

That's not how it works. WOU only attacks people who are pursuing it or Tooru. Simply getting in the way of his goal doesn't activate it. Josuke was able to destroy much of Tooru's rokkakaka medicine, which got in the way of Tooru's goal, but he didn't die since he wasn't pursuing Tooru himself. That's why Tooru had to come to him.

with the same logic Planet Waves wouldnt be able to do the one thing he is meant for, shooting small range meteors on people (that were unchanging in size)

Honorable mention goes to Planet Waves. Although the Stand is meant to control the meteorites so they enter combustion in the atmoshpere and desintegrate just before touching the user, it was shown this can be circumvented by having the metereoite hit something else before reaching the user, effectively "throwing" it in that direction. If it were to say for example, cause a bunch of smaller meteorites to punch a much larger one towards Earth, it could cause a catastrophic impact.

What about Limp Bizkit? Since the zombies are invisible and can basically be any organism ranging from a bird to even a crocodile, it would be very difficult to combat since there was no distinct weakness that they had unless you somehow managed to point out where the user is and kill them twice. Once while they are alive and once while they themselves are an invisible zombie, which is hard enough considering you have to deal with other invisible zombies.
sure they could be invisible but thermal vision probably eliminates that advantage altogether, i wonder if limp bizkit could make the heat waves be invisible aswell?
@@-stock- That is a good argument, but there’s also the fact that literally anything that has died can become a zombie so thermal vision may allow you to see them, but with a large number a species attacking you it is difficult to manage all at once. Also, if you think about it, there’s a possibility that Limp Bizkit can revive dinosaurs as invisible zombies considering he could revive a bird and an alligator. If he can, then it’s already over.
The only question that really seals it though is can they track and kill the user? Once while he is alive and again when he has become an invisible zombie. It would be hard to pinpoint unless you yourself are a stand user.
Any Museum, dig site, or Oil Company is doomed if Limp Bizkit gets in range, I'll just say that much. How are you gonna fight a regular Dinosaur, let alone horde of invisible AND immortal ones. Not to say just dinosaurs would be a threat, but they're the most obvious one. It's also good thing it's 'corpses' doesn't count cells, because Zombie Polio would be all kinds of messed up.

Also every stand that has shown or implied faster than light speeds. At full power, they can obliterate Earth or maybe even whole stars.
Stands don't have mass nor are made of matters so even if they can move faster than light, it wouldn't break physics in any way. Silver Chariot and Star Platinum are both faster than light thanks to SC perceiving Hanged Man (a light speed stand) in slow motion and SP being able to keep up with SC

Doesn’t mean they don’t have the potential if they really wanted. Star platinum has shown the ability to hold solid objects like bullets meaning if Jotaro really wanted to, he could destroy Earth in a blink of an eye.

Neither sc nor sp are faster than light, in the hanged man fight polnareff was able to cut the light ray because he already knew that it was going to go towards the coin, if he truly was able to move ftl, the whole fight would have ended much sooner
There are loads of Stands more catastrophic than a lot of these picks. C-Moon, Sun, Blue Hawaii, Notorious B.I.G, Brain Storm...
Interesting choices but I disagree with some of them
B.I.G for example would need to cross continents to even have a chance of killing thousands of people, but the ocean currents and waves would make sure that it wont make it very far. In fact, there are far too many moving things in the world for B.I.G to cause any real damage
Blue Hawaii is strong sure, but it’s extinction potential isn’t any more apparent then the stands I’ve already brought up
Sun is easy to combat. Just stay inside and keep using cold appliances. It was only seen as catastrophic because the group was in a desert with no method of cooling. The range is also not very wide as you may think, meaning that the user would have to travel a lot to even affect a lot of people. What's to stop someone from just shooting the user as he travels so they don't have to deal with them considering the fact The Sun is literally looming above him and cannot travel out of that range?

BtD’s bomb activates when anyone interrogates it’s “host” (Hayato, or anyone Kira attaches it to) about Kira’s new identity(Kosaku Kawajiri) through ANY means. It will also activate if anyone is able to connect the dots about Kira’s identity. It protects it’s host, even from the user. It cannot be sent upon anyone to wipe them out, unlike the first and second bomb. In theory, if Kira is able to set himself as the host, he can shout his true identity on live television. But idk if that is possible or not

I'm reasonably sure Wonder of U wouldnt quite work to extinct life on the planet, if i recall correctly, albeit the stand can destroy pretty much anyone very swiftly, it could only target one person at once and a big part of battling it involved changing the "priority of the calamities", so if a relatively large group of people tried to attack tooru at once, he would eventually be defeated
Eremes' stand (smack) is actually op when you think about it cause while here power to duplicate something by putting a sticker on it then cause damage by ripping it off therefor merging them back together. think about it for a second. she could just up and decide to pop one onto the planet then take it off and would you look at the its the apocalypse.

Next should do a list that can solo other anime characters such as but not limited to Goku. Power and Strength are one thing, but a majority of stands are outlandish that even a simple bubble can make a power universal being go blind. Whether it be a fishing pole that can phase through and bypass durability, or an ability that can trap you into a piece of paper just by being afraid. Stands and the nature of stands be visualization of abilities combated with the personalities of all different kinds of humans. Stands as a whole go way beyond. The mechanism of what defines a stand goes deep.

the user could just summon a character who can cause the extinction of jojo, whether the character was already made or they made it up in their head (yes, bohemian can basically summon anyone you can think of thats fictional, even ones the user made up in their head, may need to draw a stickfigure for it to manifest but yeah)
True, Bohemian Rhapsody can definitely do that. It could even summon one of the gods from the Lovecraft Mythos but Bohemian Rhapsody's ability and the story it chooses is based on a person's favorite story though so if someone's favorite just so happens to be something from the Lovecraft Mythos then we could potentially see all existence wiped out.

Cream just rolling into a ball and running straight down to earth's core would definitely do some serious damage and could be repeated infinitely if the user measures earth's diameter and calculates how long it would take to go from one edge to the other.
It would die well before it reaches the core from the heat alone and pressure

You severely misunderstood Paisley Park's power. It's not about technology or information. Paisley Park is a Stand that finds routes/pathways. And it meant the abstract sense of the word.
Paisley Park sees the flow of Fate in the world of Jojo as a collection of infinite doors in an infinite corridor, each door leads to another infinite corridor of infinite doors. What Paisley Park does is that they take a query from their user (e.g. get me out of this mess) and they open the door one by one to discern which ones would lead the user closer to their goal.
Let's say you want a way to win a fight. PP will inspect every single move you can do in that fight and tell you which ones to make that would lead to your victory. It is up to the user to take these steps/doors or not, but these suggestions are the way PP helps you.
What this entails is that if you tell PP to, say, "find a way to make the human race go extinct" then it absolutely has the capacity to do it. As long as there is a minuscule chance of you wiping the human race, PP will pursue it for however long it takes. Now the limitations of this is that for one, you have to be specific if you want the human race to be wiped a certain way, because PP will take the easiest way, not the one you have in mind. Another one is that it turns possibilities into certainties, but it can't create possibilities by itself. If there is zero way you can wipe the human race, then it can't find a way for you to do it no matter how bad you want it.
Heavy Weather probably would’ve caused an extinction event if Pucci never stopped him scarily enough.
here are the stands i think couldnt realistically get rid of all of humanity or could possibly do it but not consistently (including ones ive seen people think could pull it off outside of this video).
killer queen btd. bites the dust isnt really too destructive of an ability. sure, it literally blows people up, but its not like those people actually die and kira simply goes back in time. the way killer queen works is too contained, u cant really kill many people at once without being caught, meaning some or all of ur progress is reverted and u will just be stuck in an infinite lopp, because eventually killing so many people would get u caught even if u specifically try to avoid it. plus, im pretty sure kira keeps his memories after each btd, so even if he did have enough time to kill all 7 billion people he most likely would be too overloaded with memories to carry out the plan. the only way he could actually wipe out the earth is with nukes, but theres no feasible way hes getting access to any as he will just get caught if he tries, resetting time just to fail again at best and getting shot or just killed at worse.
bohemian rhapsody. i could 100% see this stand wiping out all of humanity, but i dont think it would be able to do it consistently per say. sure, its not like the people here are going to be as knowledgeable about stands as the average jojo character, but i could still see humanity coming up with multiple loopholes to end the stands effects, like the one used in the show with van gogh.
silver chariot requiem. its ability is pretty wide scale, but i dont feel like it has the range and/or speed to mutate the entire world before its counter gets discovered and its killed. sure, the mutated people/creatures themselves could pose a threat, and if they spread far and wide enough it could pose a problem, but i feel like 99% of the time silver chariot is not going to be able to wipe out all of humanity.
green day/purple haze. wouldnt spread quickly enough. these stands could definitely do some damage, but the news is 100% getting to all the world governments before it becomes to much to handle and they will be dealt with accordingly. this would honestly be easier to contain than covid as it would take awhile to spread the virus without catching the attention of the government, and especially considering green day as the best way to travel would be air travel, which is controlled by heavily restricted air travel laws, aka he is going to get found even quicker.
survivor. similar thing with bohemian rhapsody where i dont know if it would necessarily consistently happen. survivor would need to be placed within wherever the government has the control area(s) for nukes in order for it to do much, which is not realistic. starting a couple riots isn't going to wipe out all of humanity.
cheap trick (these last 3 are ones ive seen people mention when talking about the topic). i feel like eventually someone with cheap trick would be found and contained. wouldnt be the most humane situation, but 1. the government doesnt care and 2. they could easily sweep it under the rug, they legally arent required to reveal anything until 25 years later or so.
normal the world/star platinum. time stop isnt enough in these cases. stopping time for 5-9 seconds is cool and all but that wouldnt really work out against an entire army. not much to say, unless u somehow figure out a way to travel 100's-1000's of miles to wherever nukes are controlled AND figure out how to actually launch them within 9 seconds, it aint happenin.
king crimson. this is a slightly interesting one. diavolo actually has a good amount of influence, as he practically owns the drug market in italy and would be hard to touch, but i feel like if he was genuinely threatening the world governments would be forced to intervene so there isnt much he could do. maybe if there was a jorge joestar king crimson (could exist but i never read it) or a king crimson over heaven/requiem he could pull it off.
If Kira put Btd on someone evil they could go on the football field for the finale of a world cup with a megaphone and kill everyone watching, Killer Queen can kill multiple people at once with Btd and KQ states that no matter how many people, if they all learn about Kira at the same time, they will all go at once. Now TV does have lag so this would need to be repeated for around every second of lag but that shouldn't be too many repeats and it has the potential to off at least 1 billion people.
It's not destroying the entire world tho.
But Kira should easily survive this as he himself never needs to be there and all of the info revealed about him would get removed because of time rewinding, so he can live after.

im afraid you dont really understand how wonder of u works. wonder of u brings calamity to those who "pursue" toru or the doctor. in the example of a falling piece of debris, the debris is "pursuing" the ground, not toru, he is just in the way. therefore would not be effected by calamity. its totally possible for toru to die in a similar way to kira, since accidents can always happen
If Kira never stops Bites the Dust and the first explosions are seen publicly, it's extinction-level

BTD isnt an extinction level stand because even if it does kill al those people, time is still rewinded to before those people died because btd's purpose is to protect the user not kill. it was born out o f kira's desire to not get caught, so that's why

Honorable Mention, Red Hot Chili Pepper. It draws raw power and speed from electricity, with how much our world today depends on technology, that stand would put humanity at your own disposal. Basically having a touch of death. Imagine if you had the power of electricity from all over the world.
