@@TheArtVoidwhat? Look at any fuelist except for neon and raze. Clove omen and brim are easy af. For init its only sova and kayo who are hard. And sentinel all play the same. If you can play kj then you can play any other sentinel. Same goes with omen clove and brim. For kayo and sova you only need a lot of lineups. And for neon its learning to bhop. Astra has so much to her kit. To that you are limited to 4 stars with unlimited possibillities on how to use them so its extremely hard to use the kit right.
@@Ezmyi I agree but if u know when and where to use ur star it's a win situation and according to me in Astral form if u know map very well then u can plant star asap ,for newbies its kinda mystery to understand how astra works overall its a great agent.

Agreed , as a smoke main who used to play omen and brim only till I was like gold , after that I took the initiative to learn astra and would always play her since I was plat till I reach immortal. Now I do play clove more but before whenever I needed to play a dome smoker i would always pick her cause she's so fun .
Playin astra in iron is not advicable, you need a more self sufficient agent for a rank like iron where you'll need to your raw mechanical skill to cary yourself out of the rank. But good luck on your climb, having fun is the most important thing in the game. XD

I love playing her so much. I love her playstyle, but she is definitely one of those legends that needs really good comms between the teammates to actually be able to utilize her kit. Being able to help your team from the other side of the map is what I love about her the most

as a smokes main here astra is one of my favourites to play, her kit is just so fun especially if you have good gamesense to use your stuns and sucks in creative ways. Also very versatile as she can pretty effectively lurk as well as play more up from and selfishly.
I knew this was coming after the harbor video, but it is really nice to see someone going in depth on her.

I ve been playing astra for like 500hours or sth since she was a meta agent. I think it s safe to say that i m main and i m thankful to her bc i rank upped untill ascendant 3 from plat 1 thanks to her. It s one of the easiest and impactful agents in the game but many ppl are afraid to give her a try so i hope this video will be helpful xd loved ur content btw bro i hope u ll rank up to million subs thanks to her xd cheers 🥂

I recently started playing astra and she is really fun. I love the ability to contribute on a site that is on the opposite side without running all the way there. She isnt even that hard to learn: you have two offensive abilities and two smokes, just decide where to put the stars.
With the recent nerf to Viper(Patch 8.08), do you think that people will start to play Astra again?..
depends, in pro play astra was almost ALWAYS played with viper. but in ranked the COWARDS who quit viper might want a difficult controller, so her pick rate might go up by a bit, but her win rate will almost certainly go down.

Im a plat astra main and i lover her, you really have to get creative with your smokes and other abilities like using her suck to pull yourself out of areas and peak enemies to catch them off guard

I used to main Astra in fact I learned her before even touching other common smokes such as omen or brim. Believe it or not I actually found her easier than omen as half the time my smokes would end up going into the ground. But ever since clove came out I’ve been using them instead. I actually tried to come back to Astra recently but I found it incredibly difficult to use her. After getting used to clove the transition BACK to Astra seemed much harder than when I initially learned how to use her and I ended up sticking with clove
Damn, reminds me of the times where when I have to fill smokes I'll play Astra. Now I play Clove but I'll still remember the good times I had playing with her :D
I struggle with astra quite a bit, but every once in a while I do something amazing and remember why i play her.

I'm a silver astra main and I'm not the best in the game ( obviously ), but I would say that her kit works really well if 1- you have good team coms, 2- you can set up yourself or your team for easy kills, and if you can manage using her astral form quickly and efficiently. Something to keep in mind is to always have an escape plan, since astra doesn't have any flashes or movement abilities, it's really easy for her to get punished when dry swinging, so it Is very useful to have a smoke or a backup plan in hand, and lastly you need to have good map and perspective knowledge, since your enemies can sometimes predict what you can use your stars for you want to change things up constantly. ☺️💜⭐

You can actually lurk using astra's star as if you return your star back into your hands it can actually create a smoke making it op for 4 smokes for a quick period of time but the smoke last a couple seconds so you gotta walk inside of it fast

I think another problem with astra is your teammates just aren't going to know how to play with your util/playstyle with how little she gets played in ranked and there's not much you can do about that. Great video btw

I‘m a diamond 2 filler main (so basically Controller main :p) and I think that Astra is the best Controller for the team in general (besides Breeze), since you can support your team with all your abilities on the whole map! The only issue is that you need lots of communication and your team trusting your utility usage. Since active comms are so rare and you as astra have to read the enemy teams‘ actions AND your teams‘ actions, she‘s really hard to play (and very frustrating at times as well). If you get a 5stack with communicating friends, she’s a really good, maybe the best controller pick. Otherwise and bc of her not-self reliant kit I usually go with Omen, Viper or Brim..
Really troll astra strat I've been doing with my squad is on maps where the site is really close to the start (split A, breeze A/B,Lotus B) I place all my stars from the get go but what I do is I place a star on the site where I want to plant and the rest are trailing up to it. Start of the round we astra smoke the spike plant spot then we all use brimstone boost + Triple Astra star recall to get on to site behind the cover of the recalls.

Astra is very team reliant when playing Astra I recommend having a duo or more on the team with you because when you que in toxic lobbies its almost impossible to win. Her kit requires you to help the team and it just sucks to see her not played since shes a very good agent just needs people in the team to capitalize.
Mastering Astra had helped me ranked up from hardstuck silver, into Plat 2. She definitely have a high learning curve, but it's so rewarding.
Moral of the story: have friends

i got astra today after 3 years of thinking about it.. and i got an ace on the first round i played! learned very quickly and im so glad i got her now but disappointed that i waited 3 years...

i mean, her smokes are no more difficult than other smokes, can't really play oneways, but if that's the biggest issue...
her suck is really good, tho i wished it would make vulnerable at its start, not at its end and start sucking a little faster. pretty nice for post plant, also pretty nice to get someone into the open, if they sit in a scary spot with Operator or similar, or to hold off a push.
her concuss is great to clear angles too.
Things i sometimes find difficult:
-Timing the suck, if ppl sneak close to it, and then rush through, when you activate it, your suck doesn't even slow them down.
-Understanding the distance of stars through walls. Can be a bit hard to know which star you are currently looking at.
-Placing the ultimate: With a bit of training it works well enough, but its pretty common that some angles are not quite right, especially if it has to be placed quickly.
Changes i'd like to see:
Imo taking back a star should last like 0.5s longer, so you can cross longer distances with it a bit safer.
she should generate a star every round, feels kinda dumb that dying with any number of stars left equals a loss of 150 credits. no other agent has that. ofc it should be balanced then, but it should not feel punishing like that.

she needs her fifth star back, and the ability for her to see enemys on the astral plane like on the minimap after theyre seen. Cloves smoke does this and this change would make astra balanced imo, the stars are still hard to use so it wouldnt be op or out class other agents. astra needs a buff or a rework
I really wish they would give Astra her fifth star back. Her utility has a lot longer cooldowns then when she was the most broken controller, and it means that often times the other controllers, even brimstone, simply have more utility in a round then Astra does.

i became an astra main when i saw the pretty gun you get through her kit, and then went "well it would be a waste to just not play her" so thats when i (as an iron1 player ;-;) just started only playing astra
Remember in 2021 when Astra was everywhere? Those were the days.
As a controller main I absolutly loved playing Astra in 5 stacks with my friends. You can try to play for yourself, and use few tricks and plays to dominate on Astra in solo que, but if you play with your friends, the value her kit gets almost triples. Raze nade + suck combo, stuns for duelist going in, Astra is by far the best supporting controller. And i think she is also still viable in solo que, but i much more then prefere Clove or Omen becuase their kits are more self-sufficient and you can carry by yourself. Doing that on Astra with throwing or toxic teammates is much harder.

I love playing astra, She can do fake smokes, which any other controller agents can't do (besides viper, but after Riot nerfed her she couldn't do fake smoke now). For me learning Astra was too much fun. If I have to play the controller I always choose Astra.
never played her but i can tell she's a difficult agent to use in solo queues. The nightmares you have to experience with communicating randoms are tiring
