데뷔 전부터 탄탄한 실력으로 기대를 모았던 신인 보이그룹 A.C.E(에이스)가 데뷔를 했다.
신인 보이그룹 A.C.E(에이스)의 첫 디지털 싱글 '선인장'(CACTUS)의 언론 쇼케이스가 22일 오후 서울 압구정동 KWAVE에서 열렸다.
팀 이름인 A.C.E(에이스)는 Adventure Calling Emotions(모험을 불러일으키는 감정들)의 약자로, 예능프로그램인 '무한도전'에서 콘셉트를 착안했다. 이름의 뜻처럼 개개인으로는 부족할 수 있는 5명의 멤버들이 모여 어떤 고난과 역경에도 포기하지 않고 쟁취해나가며 영웅(Hero)이 되기까지의 '리얼 영웅 성장스토리'라는 뜻을 담고 있어 '무한돌', '성장돌', '노력돌' 등 앞으로 보여질 모습을 예상할 수 있다.
A.C.E(에이스)는 리더 준(JUN)을 필두로 동훈(DONGHUN), 와우(WOW), 제이슨(JASON), 찬(CHAN)으로 이뤄진 실력파 5인조 보이그룹이다. 리더 준은 작년 뮤지컬 '페스트'에서1000:1이 넘는 오디션 경쟁을 뚫고 그랑 역을 맡아 뮤지컬 배우로 먼저 얼굴을 알렸으며, 지난 4월 방영된 엠넷 '너의 목소리가 보여4'에 '순천 강타'로 출연해 실시간 검색어 상위에 오르는 등 정식 데뷔 전부터 시청자들에게 눈도장을 찍었다. 준 외에도 제이슨은 SBS 'KPOP STAR2' 출신, 동훈은 Mnet '슈퍼스타 K5' TOP 10과 '너의 목소리가 보여4'에 출연해 정식 데뷔 전부터 이미 탄탄한 실력을 검증받은 바 있다.
또한 A.C.E의 데뷔에는 초특급 스태프가 참여하여 ‘역대급’ 신인 보이그룹의 데뷔 무대를 예고하고 있다. 데뷔곡 '선인장(CACTUS)'은 해외 팝시장에서 먼저 인정을 받고 있는 실력파 혼성 그룹 'K.A.R.D'의 곡을 작곡한 프로듀서 낯선과 'AAP'의 GR8MOON, '소녀시대'와 '카라', '트와이스' 등 수많은 아티스트들과의 작업을 통해 독창적인 색깔로 인정받고 있는 프로듀싱팀 'ZOOBEATER SOUND'의 수장 EJ SHOW가 협업해 만들어냈다. 안무는 '박재범'과 '아이오아이', '트와이스' 등의 최정상 가수들의 안무와 트레이닝을 담당한 '원밀리언'의 수석 안무가인 Lia Kim과 기대주 신인 안무가 정구성이 콜라보레이션한 작품이며, '아이오아이'와 'B1A4' 등의 보컬 트레이닝을 담당한 김성은 보컬리스트 외에도 국내 최정상 스태프들이 힘을 더했다.
특히 A.C.E는 차별화된 음악적 시도와 그에 걸맞는 과감한 퍼포먼스를 준비중인데 안무가 Lia Kim에게 극찬을 받았던 안무 실력으로 1세대 H.O.T부터 최근 방탄소년단까지 이어진 퍼포먼스 그룹의 계보를 새롭게 잇는다는 게 소속사 측의 설명이다.
한편 A.C.E(에이스)는 오는 23일 정식 데뷔를 앞두고 있으며, 전일인 22일 쇼케이스를 개최했다.
