As a model train lover, i am really stoked to see such a popular creator join the community of conductors like myself. Excited to see the kind of model train content you pump out!
I was in a really dark place a couple years ago, and honestly the only way I could pick myself up was through training. I first bought a N scale double freight boxcar set from my local hobby shop and I’ve been chuggin ever since! 🚂🚂 🚂 I was once a beginner also, and I know the online model train community will welcome you with open arms. I’m excited to follow the tracks of your journey Cody! 😜
I’ve been looking for the right model train CZcamsr for years. Always been a fan, when I saw the logo- I knew. Thank you, Cody. I think this might be the happiest moment of my life. Genuinely can’t wait to start the model train journey with you. Okay, I’m gonna go ahead and start the video. Nothing could bring me down from this truly blissful feeling.
As a fellow train enthusiast I’m really so excited to see where your journey takes you. The train community, though niche, is so welcoming and always happy to see new people picking up the hobby. I definitely recommend starting small, just buy a kit you are comfortable with, go to your local hobby shop and see if they have anything for beginner level or if you’re feeling brave buy the most expensive set you can find and just get after it! The train community needs someone with such a huge following like yourself to bring awareness to the intricacies and complexity of this hobby. Keep it chuggin! Choo choo!
You know, I'm a fellow train enthusiast myself, and I've started small in the hobby, but if you really want to enjoy model trains and get into the hobby, you should go big if you have the money. Go crazy, but the biggest train set ever, buy more train cars, buy as much track as you can find. That's how you get into model railroading big time.
Hey Cody!! I just finished my first ever 5K this morning and I wanted to tell you that you were a big part of the whole experience!! I know a 5K is such a small accomplishment but it was a huge hurdle for me. I'm not a runner and I haven't found joy in exercise before, but I signed up for a 5K rhino conservation fundraiser at my university and was so nervous about training. But when I watched your ultramarathon video, I was so excited to run my 5K because I knew it would feel so good to finish it! You inspired me to run today, and I want to keep running! 10K next! I've been a big fan of yours for years but I've never really commented before, but I wanted to share, so that on the off chance you read this, so you know how inspiring you are to your fans :)
Randomly watching this and just realized it’s a year ago today??? To think I was doing no training a year ago is insane, I’ve since lost 25 lbs, ran a half marathon and am stronger/healthier than ever. I’m so proud of Cody and myself for all the progress made in the last year!
@@bykenwithkenforken similar story my friend! That's why I wanted to ask if you had kept it up haha, I also have just finished my first halfmarathon and upping milage to for a full one! It is crazy how different a few months can make, congrats to you
i’m excited to see this side of Cody and it makes me happy that he’s creating content about something he’s actually passionate about. i bet he feels good about this and it can help lessen the feeling of burnout and not enjoying the work he’s posting. i hope he doesn’t abandon this channel and that ppl who watch him actually show some interests in his hobbies and support him/this channel.
Yes this is the content I actually want to watch. I love analyzing and training for different events and learning new things so I’m really looking forward to seeing similar content. I’m so excited for this channel.
The glitch right after talking about putting your phone underwater being fine is so funny to me. Not a lot of model train talk this video but I’m looking forward to more!!
It's so nice to see fitness content that's clearly focused on doing it for the joy and for yourself. Not about the gains, not about eating just for the macros instead of what makes you happy. Super hyped for this!
I'm so glad to see one of my favorite content creators getting into the model train industry. Most people think it's geeky, but if anyone can make it mainstream, it'd be you!
no joke though i love these videos. it's different from what you usually do in a great way! we get a glimpse of the hard work you put into journeys like this and i know for me it's inspiring, i'm sure its inspiring for everyone watching. Makes me wanna start putting in the work to be better and take care of my body.
Here from vine, first channel/second channel, and tmg. Fucking rad that you are putting this part of your life online because it’s really relatable and inspiring. I feel like I’m just listening to my friend talk to me about common hobbies. Thanks again!
Usually everyone who does workout vlogs acts like they love it so much and how great it makes them feel and I never realized how fake it was until I saw Cody’s last video. It was so true to what my workout challenges feel like to me, it felt so cathartic to watch and I became instantly hooked. I loved seeing someone who I know is fit and in good shape just say “this sucks, I’m tired, I don’t want to do this but I have to, ok let’s go” because it just shows that we all feel like that sometimes and it’s not a big deal to admit workouts suck sometimes. Can’t wait for the next one!
When I tell you how beyond happy I was to see such a popular and funny creator join the model train community I am not exaggerating. I have been building my miniature village for years now and would love some input from you Cody as you are a true model of mine! So excited to see you model train journey! I’ve been in a similar spot of just drinking more than I’d like and stuck in some residual habits from the pandemic. I hope you keep putting out videos on this channel! But I swear if I see or hear about you slapping the shit out of another harmless spider I’ll unsubscribe. Otherwise, love the content!

The progress on that papier-mâché model tunnel is really good. I bet once you get some paint on it, it’ll look super realistic. Can’t wait to see the train run through it
One tip I’ve learned to making a good salad: use fresh herbs too. I never realized you could just chop up basil, mint, cilantro, whatever, and mix it into your salad with your other greens. They’re also super nutritious. That and adding some slightly roasted nuts (sunflower seeds, walnuts, pecans) by putting them on a pan for like a minute made me start to enjoy my salads. Choo choo 🚂
Honestly love this so much, so glad you made this training channel! And by that I mean the last 30 seconds of model trains. So excited for more train footage!
So excited to see this training content from you. I used to love trains as a kid and this is really lighting a fire in me to get back into it. Thanks Conductor Cody!
The timing of this is insane hahah, been a fan for years. I just started running this year about 7 months ago, I’ve done 2 - 10ks, 2 half marathons so far and 1 - 6km trail run. Doing another 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks. Keep going Cody!
Hey Cody, you’re right, the cost of biking does suck, just wait until you can ride far, it’s amazing the places you can experience and how far you can go on a bike. I just finished a 6 day bikepacking tour through rural Vermont on roads and trails and it was a fantastic experience.
THIS! I really hope Cody goes on some scenic rides and doesn't just ride up and down PCH since he's training for a triathlon. There is some incredible riding in Malibu and all over LA so I hope he gets to enjoy the cycling side of his training and can see and explore LA from a different perspective.
I'm nowhere as active as Cody, but I added rock climbing to my weekly workout routine a couple months ago and its still hard for me to not feel stupid in the gym with such good climbers around. Him having the same feeling at the pool reminds me almost everyone feels that way, I have a feeling these vids are gonna have the perfect mix of relatability and inspiration, looking forward to more!

i don’t get why people keep commenting to cody “that’s so LA of u” like he clearly cares about public locomotive and more dense transportation for the masses that’s like the most UN LA ever
I’m so excited for this channel! I watched your ultra video and it inspired me to sign up for a 10k in October! I’ve been training everyday and I’m so excited and happy and proud :) so thank you for sharing it really is inspiring
Long time listening of TMG and bonus content consumer, love trillionaire and B&C also. I have a habit of falling into self destructive behaviors and watching someone who’s content I enjoy struggle with normal issues that come from training or just day to day tasks is refreshing and motivating to me. I started training for a marathon this week. Thanks Cody.
Seriously so excited for this. I did my first day of couch to 5k the day the ultra marathon video was posted, and finding out Kelsey is doing it too is even more extra motivating. I watched this video last night and kept thinking back to it on my run this morning and reminding myself to slow down.
It was really inspiring to see how much time and effort Cody is willing to put into something he’s passionate about. I never knew Cody was such a nerd for model trains! Can’t wait to see his recreation of the Orient Express!
Really excited for this, I've been trying to find enjoyable training content especially for triathlons since that's a big goal of mine! I hope you keep posting on this channel, I would also love to learn more about model trains
Super stoked for this channel man! Been watching you for 5 years now, love all your vids/pods. I’m a runner here in NZ, would be awesome to see you do some events down here! Chur bro!
Cody really glad you made this channel. Been a fan of yours since the that cringe days. Been putting off getting back into shape for a while and your ultra marathon video got me started. No alcohol, no nicotine, dieting and exercise everyday. Its been hell but i already feel so much better. I’m no where close to being able to run an ultramarathon or even running 8 miles, but trying to improve everyday. Keep the videos coming man because I know I can’t be the only one you inspired to make that first step!
Wasn’t to sure if I’d follow this new channel of yours but really liking your pacing and I’m finding it great motivation for the new year. Plus the edit of the screen corruption after how the phones fine under water had me in stitches! I know I’m a bit late but keep it up the fitness journey
I’m so happy you started this! I started running only two months ago. I run like 10-9 min miles and try to run like 10 miles a week but I’ve been burning out. It’s refreshing to see someone excited to start a new journey with fitness and makes me wanna consider trying a triathlon in the future hahah. Keep it up! I can’t wait to watch more!
Always loved model trains since I was very young, so great to see a cool guy like you picking up the hobby! Can't wait to see your first table Cody! - Regards, Kieran Bledsoe
so stoked for this channel I'm so excited because I already really enjoy watching similar content about constantly pushing yourself and challenging yourself and about staying active and healthy so to have like my favorite comedian now making those videos too with funny commentary ugh I'm so happy love you Cody!!!!!!
Cody, flip turns take a ton of practice. The one in the video looked pretty good. A few tips would be: when you push off the wall, do a streamline position with your hands stacked one on the other and take a breath to the side when you have about a body length left until the wall; once you get to the T at the bottom of the pool (most pools have them) you know you have one stroke left to the wall. At that point you should have taken your breath, and leave the arm on the side you breathed with down by your side, then do your last stroke with your other arm so that you have both arms at your sides and you are flat on your stomach. Then if you have a bit left to the wall, you can kick a little, otherwise you should be ready to flip. Mid flip, your arms will come back up to out in front of you and you can push off and kick (and do your streamline). These tips helped me when I was learning to swim, and then I went on to swim for 9 years competitively, and teach swim lessons for 2 :). Good luck on your races!!
Cody! Tiles at the bottom of the pool and the flags above let you know when the wall is close. For my freestyle wingspan, that’s when I take my last breath before the turn, do 2-3 strokes, and then flip. Excited for the series!
I actually just signed up for a marathon right after your ultra marathon video. I have 8 months from being a 5k runner to train to run over 40km and so far it’s been going great! You really motivated me, so I am incredibly pumped to see this new channel. Instant subscribe.
Can't wait to watch this journey! It will definitely be motivating, since I'm starting with a personal trainer in a week. And I plan to get back into marathons again like I did in my early 20's. Thank you for sharing, Cody!
10:49 Cody is in insane shape. Keep up the hard work, it’s truly inspiring seeing someone go clean off alcohol, eat right and train like you are doing. But… I came here for some model trains…
This is one of my favourite videos of Cody maybe ever …. Everything about this is awesome, he is so charismatic that just watching vlog style content or watching him run is so entertaining. I’m also getting into cycling and building up my cardio fitness, so this is such great timing for these videos! Keep it up Cody, I can’t WAIT for more ❤️
Cody! I’m so happy you made this channel. It gets me pumped up to start training again. I want to try a biathlon next November so I’ll be training with you!
This stuff, just a normal kinda guy just deciding to do something and committing to training for it is actually pretty motivating. Since the beginning of this summer I've started training for and doing half marathons, so this stuff is relatable and cool to see. I really love seeing Cody comitting to a fun and creative hobby like building model trains, it's good to keep your mind active in your old age.
The excitement I felt when Cody said he’s going to learn how to do a triathlon made me so happy! I also do triathlons and I can’t wait to hear what Cody has to say about everything/his journey! Also tip for a flip turn: look at the lines or the “T” at the bottom- and breathe to the side before your turn.
I watched your video on the ultramarathon and it motivated me to go for a run today for the first time in over a year :) Im glad to see this type of content from you as long as it makes you happy!

I love how you are taking us with you on this journey in your personal fitness life and it’s awesome to see you accomplish stuff like this! Can’t wait to see the model train finished though
this is so awesome!!! so so happy to see you branch out like this! feels like such an amazing transition for your content, because the humour mixed in with great camerawork, editing, and confidence to trying new things is just so entertaining to watch! thanks for sharing :)
i don’t get why people keep commenting to cody “that’s so LA of u” like he clearly cares about public locomotive and more dense transportation for the masses that’s like the most UN LA ever
Train jokes aside I really enjoy these and I hope you don’t ditch this channel
I’m so excited for this channel! I watched your ultra video and it inspired me to sign up for a 10k in October! I’ve been training everyday and I’m so excited and happy and proud :) so thank you for sharing it really is inspiring
Appreciate the dedication to model train content, not many people join in so we are loving having new members :)
I watched this video last night and kept thinking back to it on my run this morning and reminding myself to slow down.
can’t wait for this channel, will watch every video. looking forward to it! I am genuinely inspired
Loved the part with the model train. So glad you kept reminding us how much you love model trains and how this channel will be all about trains!
It was really inspiring to see how much time and effort Cody is willing to put into something he’s passionate about. I never knew Cody was such a nerd for model trains! Can’t wait to see his recreation of the Orient Express!
Can’t wait for more videos of Cody running trains!
I think you’re mistaken, this is a model trains YT channel. That content is on his OF.
@@puddin1334 my mistake
This channel is amazing, so inspiring genuinely, please never stop
I can tell This channel is gonna be my new favourite. Looking forward to seeing the vids Cody! Good luck
The subtle glitch edit after you saying “you can put your iPhone underwater and it’s fine” is beautiful. Well done sir
i absolutely love this content, and love how much younger and refreshed you're looking lately! excited to follow your fitness journey :)
Chur bro!
Finally! A new model train enthusiast in my feed. Cant wait for some more top quality model train content.
I am genuinely so into this kind of content. Looking forward to more!
- Regards,
Kieran Bledsoe
so stoked for this channel I'm so excited because I already really enjoy watching similar content about constantly pushing yourself and challenging yourself and about staying active and healthy so to have like my favorite comedian now making those videos too with funny commentary ugh I'm so happy love you Cody!!!!!!
Love this man, getting into running because of your ultra marathon video. Please keep em coming
I’m so glad to see elderly men like u getting out and being active Cody! (80th subscriber)

When I heard Cody was making model model train videos I had to see. I'm in for this new adventure, Choo choo
Cody please don’t stop making these videos these actually help me want to start running and I’ve never ever ever enjoyed it in my entire life
Cody! Tiles at the bottom of the pool and the flags above let you know when the wall is close. For my freestyle wingspan, that’s when I take my last breath before the turn, do 2-3 strokes, and then flip. Excited for the series!
That’s good advice, but sort of a funny comment on a model train video.
@@Mstained you’re right I’m sorry
Choo Choo! Let's go Cody. Great model trains. Looking forward to more trains!
Literally pumped for train 🚂 content. I loved your tweet about the train setup in your basement! So pumped to see the progress!
I’m so excited about this! You look so full of life! I never knew I needed this Cody content😅
After watching you finish the 37 miles you inspired me to run a 10k at the end of October. Thanks Cody
Hope it goes well!
I actually just signed up for a marathon right after your ultra marathon video. I have 8 months from being a 5k runner to train to run over 40km and so far it’s been going great! You really motivated me, so I am incredibly pumped to see this new channel. Instant subscribe.
Wasn’t gonna go to the gym today, but you’ve inspired me! More of these please Chodester🤘🏼
Can't wait to watch this journey! It will definitely be motivating, since I'm starting with a personal trainer in a week. And I plan to get back into marathons again like I did in my early 20's.
Thank you for sharing, Cody!
Growing up I LOVED model trains!! Thank you Cody, for this series and bringing my childhood memories back!!
It's awesome to see you sharing your passions and inspiring us with how much of your life you are willing to give to model trains
I watched your video on the ultramarathon and it motivated me to go for a run today for the first time in over a year :) Im glad to see this type of content from you as long as it makes you happy!
