    The Simpsons has gone through a lot of changes over the past 29 years, both on-screen and behind the scenes. The show is always welcome to controversy and has made a lot of headlines over the years. The show has also kept a lot of facts and figures out of the public eye.
    In each opening of the show, Bart is known for his chalkboard messages, but a few of them have pushed the limits when it comes to content and innuendo. Itchy and Scratchy are two beloved characters from The Simpsons, but there was one point when Fox wanted the violent creatures off the show. Cletus is a supporting character who is known for a large collection of children with some pretty unusual names. Ned looks young and fit, but Homer’s neighbor is actually around 60 years old. 1989 is the premiere year of the Simpsons, but the yellow-skinned family did not spend too much time living out the 80’s lifestyle. Speaking of aging, Lisa Simpson has had a few birthday parties in her day, including twice when she actually celebrated the same eighth birthday. Homer may be a drunk and a doof, but he can blame everything on his sad and oppressive childhood. Homer has had over 100 jobs through 29 seasons, but the first time he was ever fired turned out to be a lot more horrific than we ever expected. The Simpsons have a dark family secret involving Marge’s Uncle Arthur and his history with guns. Watch to see all 25 of these twisted facts and the way the Simpsons have dealt with them over the years!

    5:12 Homer’s mother did not pass away when he was a child, she abandoned her family and didn’t learn anything from Homer until he was already a man. She eventually passed away in season 19, in the episode “Mona Leaves-A” and didn’t reappear until season 23, episode “How I Wet Your Mother”

    • @leoruenes457
      @leoruenes457 Před 6 lety +1

      You’re right, it was a major plot point that Homer thought her dead until season 7 and then again when she crashed the prison bus in season 15. However, it is never implied in the video that he only thought it so, and instead assured she died from the beginning, when she didn’t.

    • @leoruenes457
      @leoruenes457 Před 6 lety +2

      That’s the reason why Homer never wrote back and Mona didn’t know whatever happened to him until she found him on that grave, in one of the saddest episodes if not the saddest of them all, “Mother Simpson”.

      cellophanegirl Abe didn't destroy any care packages they were stuck at the post office probably because he was too busy working all the time to provide for Homer and no adult around to sign the sign for them. Or could be the fact that she didn't put a proper returning address on them but I'm more leaning towards the fact that no one was around to sign for them.
      Homer does receive all of them when he goes to check the post office. After his mother mentions them.

    I didn't learn anything new here. And Smithers was not intended to be gay from the start. The writers just kept up and upping his ass kissing to the point where he was in love with Burns and he was more or less gay by default. The writers have said that if Smithers had a woman for a boss he'd be in love with her too. The reason they didn't want him to be black was because he was a subservient character, not gay.

    2:35 My name is Flanders-kage Kira. I just want a quiet life. I'm 60 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Springfield , where all the villas are, and I am married. I work as an employee for the Leftorium department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

    Things wrong with this video:
    some of the "facts" are not even that (many where just episodes plot points and descriptions of characters), the title downright lies by saying there are 25, when actually the are 22 "facts", most weren't even twisted (the only twisted things are some stuff the facts talk ABOUT, not the facts themselves), it was clickbaity, the Guide to Life book doesn't imply the "J" is "Jojo", it's actually a running gag where he'd change it every time, Smither's race was changed not because he would be gay and black, but because it would be problematic to have a black man serving obsessively a white old man, it was very repetitive, many fans, not even longtime fans, will surely know many of these, Homer's mom didn't die until he was an adult, at 3:15 you said "Flanders" instead of "Smithers", it's obviously not researched enough, the Playboy picture you are referring to didn't reveal Marge's bare chest, it was covered, even if it was by an almost transparent piece of clothing.
    I'm sure there are more that I didn't catch.
    This is everything wrong with lazy channels about lists.

      The question is? FOX from what I understand was ending the Simpsons in Season 30... & Season 29 is already probably over? I dunno…
      So is Disney getting The Simpsons at all? Or No? If so, what will happen with the Show? oO
      What would they do with it? Last I checked, Disney only wanted FOX for the Marvel Franchise...
      They are suppose to get a lot more then just Marvel, but i'm pretty sure all they really want is the
      Marvel part of it, ~_~
      I thought Simpsons was part of the Deal, but if it ends, then how would Disney get it? oO

    The thing that surprised me about Ned Flanders is when it was revealed that he had anger issues in the episode Hurricane Neddy. Before that Ned was always that sweet, nice, religious man who never said any unkind thing about anyone. But when he finally snapped and ranted and raved to the whole town my jaw dropped and I gasped, "Flanders!"

    A lot of people seem to forget that The Simpsons started as short animations before and after commercials on The Tracey Ullman Show. I think it started in 1987 or 1988. My husband and I used to watch it and liked it even back then, although the animation was much cruder than it is now. I seem to remember a lawsuit by Ullman against them because the contract stated that she would get a percentage if The Simpsons went on to become a show in its own right. Also, for a time, Bart Simpson was in commercials for Butterfingers. :)
