Yep! They talk about how the most important thing is listening to each other. Both in the "we try all ideas" kind of listening but also when singing, they are constantly LISTENING. And you can tell.

if you watch Kevin's foot, he used a "pedal" on the floor to change his cello from a more standard sound to electric, so he could shred like an electric guitar....

At an early age, Kevin began learning piano, cello and saxophone. He performed at Carnegie Hall twice as soloist on the cello and saxophone and has appeared on NPR’s “From The Top." After finishing high school at Phillips Academy Andover, Kevin enrolled in Yale University where he was a pre-med and majored in East Asian Studies. He spent 18 months in Beijing becoming fluent in Chinese as a part of his Yale fellowship. While in college, Kevin began developing his “celloboxing” skills and in 2009 won second place in the “Celebrate and Collaborate with Yo-Yo Ma” international competition. (From Kevin's Wik page)
The time signature is technically 3/4, but it's being felt in 1, which allows them to play with them tempo and stretch both the length of the notes AND the space between notes. The result is brilliant!

The beat stays steady throughout but there is quite a bit of syncopation between n KO’s part right after Scott’s initial entrance. And yes, cellos can cry.

The time is actually 6/8...
The timing is a little different than the original where they added extra 3 beats throughout the song...still a standard waltz 1 2 3 1 2 3 , just added extras
It´s a 3/4 or 6/8 rythem!
You know even tho this is more a Kevin song and Matt I do love mitch because if you listen to the easy rise of his voice with no effort, then watch Kevin hit that note. There is a difference. Mitch is a little fuller tone bc its richer due to his being a counter tenor and can naturally hit those soprano notes in kirstys realm. There's no strain whatsoever. Buy as Kevin uses falsetto, you can tell.
