- I originally made this quilt for my husband's 40th birthday - he wanted a car - he got a quilt! It always reminds me of him, standing strong like these tree that are so fun to make.

Thank you for this video, Edyta! You always do such a great job! You’ve inspired me to make a tree quilt for my husband’s retirement that is coming up. He is a forester in the southeast so works mainly with pines. I’ll be using your idea to do scrappy greens for evergreen trees. I’d like to make the quilt for a queen size bed. Will it work to just add another row of trees to the width and length?

I've begun to make this pattern into a cherry blossom tree quilt. Lots of pinks! I have a variety of blues to use for the sky, but am unsure of whether to use green or blue under the tree trunk. What is your suggestion?
