- This is my top 10 favourite layouts ive picked from the 10 exhibitions i have visited this year, so many to choose from and i now they wont be everyones favourite, but hope you enjoy the video.
Exhibitions - Preston, Carnforth, Railriders Crewe, Leyland, Liverpool, Leigh, Warrington and Warley.

Moors View is a great scenic layout , the snow is just so well done
I had to go for that with number one as I thought it was amazing and the depth to the scenery aswell, it just shows that you don't need lots of sidings or lines just 2 tracks running through some fantastic scenery makes a layout, thanks for watching. Tom
Personally, I prefer the diesel loco models. But that may be just my generation. 👍
I do like modern era with a mainline steam tour frown in 😂

Hi Andy it's a really nice little layout, I quite often find micro layouts more interesting especially when there abit different, glad you like my choices, thanks for watching. Tom
@@northwesttrainsmodels Thank you Tom. I'm a huge fan of micro layouts and run a FB page dedicated to them. For modellers with little space they are ideal and they can provide a bigger challenge to detail than a larger layouts.

It's a close one. But i think Ely wood has to be number 1 for me. I've enjoyed watching the videos of it this year.... not as much as watching the video's of your layout, of course 😅.

Hi Steve am doing good thanks, hope your doing good to, glad you like my choices, I was torn between Ely wood and moors view, I could have watched trains running on both for hours, and am sure you prefer my layout 😂

Layout #1, what is the story with the cut-down trees? And an Eddie Stupid driver up on the bridge!
i now my choices wont be everyones favourites, but i couldnt fault layout one i thought it was spectacular
@@northwesttrainsmodels I did ask about all the trees that had been cut down, and what the scene represented.
@Demun1649 sorry dave must have misread the comment, I'll have a look see if I can find anymore info on the layout and let you now, I now they change the time periods on the layout and run steam one day and diesel on another day and change things over like the vehicles
@@northwesttrainsmodels Would be delighted to hear as to why all the trees were cut down. I have a logging train, but the devastated area is not modelled.

Nice, but steam should always be no. 1 in everyone's book. Your railway is no. 1, because there are steam engines running along it. Nothing works better in the snow than a steam-hauled Santa Special train. In fact, I rather thought Bobby the real Black 5 ought to be top of the list. That's an idea. Show us your top 10 favourite real steam engines, if you can. Merry Christmas.
A tad authoritarian, l like many others prefer Diesel, and I’m 76.
I just skimmed through, diesels and modern traction bore me.

i do like modern era myself, on my own layout its loosely set in present day with a heritage line so i can run pretty much anything, thanks for watching. Tom
like i said in the description i now my choices wont be everyones, i do like abit of everything, on my own layout i have modern era with steam specials and an upper level heritage line to run steam and old diesel on, thanks for watching. Tom
