  • In this video I go through an example problem with a cable under a catenary load which is a cable hanging under its own weight. I give a list of equations to solve for the unknowns including the tension, the horizontal component of the tension, angle of deflection, length of the cable, sag of the cable, and weight per unit length. Use the equations given to solve for these unknowns.
