    That was a great video, very well-explained. What soldering iron and soldering wire did you use? (I guess the first thing you use is desoldering tape and the liquid is soldering flux right?) Sorry, I'm totally new at this. Thank you!

    along with the face ID ?

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  Před rokem

      As of now replacing the screen won’t result in loss of Face ID functionality
      If you want to keep True Tone you need to buy the proper tool. Most people don’t want to buy that tool for a one off repair which is why I don’t include it in my videos

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  Před rokem

      @@repaironwheels I just sold it, and bought another one with a working speaker. I saw they had extended it, but if the phone has dents on the edges, they can refuse it under the warranty meaning a high repair cost to fix their problem. Doing it DIY means more than likely breaking the water resistance too.
      Your video is pretty good though and i will keep it in mind for the future, if this one ends up with the same problem after the Apple repair period ends. This is dent free on the edges so if it goes within a few weeks, i will get them to fix it for free, as it is in good condition so should be accepted.
