No. Life came back more diverse and complex every time. In this episode, Jeff and Zach grapple with the root causes of our extractive and destructive tendencies as well as how our inherent physicality presents an opportunity for seeing beauty in the world.

Dr Bush there are still people in this country who embody the Navajo way. We are overwhelmed and too often misunderstood. If we break through the bubbles of comfort and familiarity we'll be able to begin to collaborate as we are meant to. ALL of us. Imbalance is collusive and corrosive but easily corrected, as you know well. The "permanent underclass" WILL pull the world of man apart if we do not turn and face FULLY all we deny by sheer cacophony. Change is coming one way or another. Stand together. Talk and listen to each other. Balance, blend and groove together. Work toward the common good we feel as we go. Like a well run family rather than the dysfunctional, disjointed bag of bones we've become. It might take six months, it did in my life, but soon enough it would feel like anything was possible. The memory of possibility would become possibility. By 2024 we could wake up in an entirely different world.
    First we must come together.

I'm a skeptic in most things beyond love but I have had greater connectedness twice to deceased parents when i was at my loneliest as a young person. I have not been that lonely since but have reached out to them for guidance and on rare occasion I get they're unmistakable, tangible, physical sign that only they would know to give me. I was also able to dream actively then, choosing my dreams, making changes to them in real time and then return to them at will when approaching sleep. Premonitions also have come to me over the decades since on other things out of the blue. Its amazing to think this is at times recallable, if we seek it through our thoughts and by getting outside ourselves for a moment. But I also learned limits, like when I made a pact with a parent that after death they would visit me for my birthday, and those visits never did happen. So much we don't understand yet.

They also need to stop animal farming. Because they eat more than 1/3 of all crop farming resources, a hell of a lot of water.. we don’t need as much as we eat, we don’t honour what the animal has given us, and it is one of the largest creators of green house gases. It would also be interesting to know, how much of the 75% of destroyed forests are occupied by farm animals and the crops they consume.

Zach you are always at the next level. Thank you for sharing it with us, pointing us to something new.
I would say this- it isn’t ridiculous that we run around asking the deep questions and seeking the non physical aspect of being. Most of us haven’t yet unwound the samsara within, and we suffer. There is healing in the medicine of remembering who we really are. Awareness.
Yes, once that is fully remembered, it’s silly to not re-engage the experience in this particular place we created to enjoy. To remain sitting at the altar.
But finding it for awhile is a part of being able to truly enjoy life here and now. 🙏💛

I love the phrase "mystical u-turn" in relation to the senses and developing our ontology. It seems clear that because we as humans have developed things like opposable thumbs evolutionarily (thereby creating the ability to be "self" sufficient), that we, by design have come to a state where we are meant to experience separateness so as to find our way back to a sense of wholeness. During one of my first psychedelic experiences, I came back and the first thing I "received", was the idea that the "currency" of whatever lies beyond this 3D experience here on Earth, is perhaps equated to the measure and degree to which we have found our way back to wholeness. If all is vibration, this would be akin to tuning an instrument. The more we are able to tune our instrument (the body) toward love or the principles of animism, the more we can embody our full essence of what it means to be human or embodied on planets in whatever "form" lies beyond this one. However, I don't think this is the complete picture... I think the complete picture lies beyond conception. Animism is just the expression... the finger pointing at the moon. There is still that oneness that lurks behind the concept and how (or what) it fully expresses through us is a absolute mystery.

The fallacy of separateness is removed from consciousness when you replace it with differentiation. To perceive with the senses is to differentiate. To differentiate is a continuous affirmation of connection.
Your fallacious idea of separateness reminds me of Hegel’s statement that when we move away from a consciousness supported by our senses, that make distinctions, is when we begin to exist in a night where all the cows are black.

That's a great point in there...'so if there's not enough food for both of us, what I gonna do is to create different food for you, so I put lot sugar and fat in it, that gives you even bigger pleasure rush than normal food and you satisfied , while I enjoy the rest of the real food myself and I'm satisfied myself too' lol The thing is, people only worry about something they have, for as long as they have life to live, they will have fear of death. I don't know, if life is about beauty and pleasure, it's sure part of the experience, but isn't that the paradise trap, which gets us stuck in this loop of believing in being nice only, cos there's always the opposite too and some people gonna experience disgust and pain to some extend too, it could be the hell trap, depends on personal experience , but it's both transformative in many ways. So life is about the experience, the experience cannot be definied, nor should be judged, cos that's the Ego, moral posturing, that's the moral pedestal. In whole human history there was both, the possitive and negative. People always have labeled themselves as good and bad, that's societal concept. Those who wanna always help others or change them, should realise that it's not their place to do so, don't try to change others experience - as the old saying says - lighthouse doesn't go around helping people, it stands there and it lights.

There is also the fear of death, an essential part of innate biological instinct structure, which contributes to separateness, if not it's primary cause. In the cognition of divinity we have the opportunity to recognize paradox and accept it. And in so doing be one with wonder, and biology too, some part of which may want to consume us. Finding, developing balance may be inherently difficult, but as Dr. Bush said it's all nature. Perhaps in the acceptance of duality we become one. Thank you gentlemen for sharing with us an inspirational conversation.

We have a developed prefrontal cortex, which allows for complex language, morals, complex society, and the creation of time. We have a story as to who we are. Animals just "are". It's our thoughts that separate us as we identify with "I" as an "Individual" - which is great when it's used to focus on our gifts and strengths but creates division when we apply our identity and beliefs to everyone else.

This video gives me hope. 47:07, although, I think disregarding discernment and calling it nonjudgment is another way of saying your action’s consequences shouldn’t be your concern. If you aren’t willing to use your brain to harness the compassion or forethought that is possible then you aren’t living your human potential. It’s my opinion that the earth has this template for us for a reason. Idk, maybe I’m missing some context with Dr. Bush’s comment that “.. judgement is silly“. It’s my understanding that judgment of another’s motives is usually inaccurate but judging our own actions to make the best choices for everyone involved is appropriate. Great, informative video though, I got a lot from it.

Just listened to the opening remarks. A question comes to mind... Isn't 'claiming of territory' a 'natural' behavior expressed by most species? Isn't 'claiming of territory' a type of 'ownership'... a sequestering/guarding of resources to advantage self or self & tribe? Isn't the building of dens/homes also an expression of 'claiming territory'? In short, 'ownership' might simply be the natural human expression of the animal instinct to create safety or sanctuary (safe spaces) within which life can develop / flourish (esp. critical rearing offspring).

There is no observational evidence that we are in a sixth mass extinction. Extinction rates (1500-2009) peaked around 1900 at 50 per decade. Extinction rates have declined dramatically to around 4 to per decade in the 2000s. So the extinction rate is very low: 900 known lost species for 2.1 million known species in 500 years (IUCN), so from observations there are an average of slightly less than 2 species lost every year. Out of a known species total of over 2 million. That gives an annual percentage loss of less than 0.0001%. That's background extinction. At that frequency it will take over 930,000 years to reach 80% extinction of species experienced at the K-T boundary that saw the extinction of the dinosaurs. Of course, extinction is a natural part of the evolution of life on this planet with the average lifespan of a species thought to be about 1 million years (cf 930,000). It is estimated that 99.9% of all plant and animal species that have existed have gone extinct. It should also be noted that no families or genera have become extinct in the last 500 years. In fact marine diversity at the taxonomic level of families is the highest it has ever been in the Earth's long history (see Sepkoski Curve). In a review of 16,009 species, most populations (85%) did not show significant trends in abundance, and those that did were balanced between winners (8%) and losers (7%) (Dornelas et al, 2019). There have been only 9 species of continental birds and mammals confirmed extinct since 1500 (Loehle, 2011). No global marine animals have become extinct in the past 50 years (McCauley et, 2015 using IUCN data).

I believe that our separation from Nature began, wait for it, when we slapped on soles to the bottom of our feet. From there, of course, we then added concrete, asphalt, laminate floors, etc. Without even realizing it, we disconnected from Mother Earth.

what is the meaning of "biological AI"? Do you mean human being or bot with human brain? Do you think that your brain connected machine (computer or iPhone..etc) would be AWESOME?
In that case you would have zero-privacy and your life become meaningless, no peace of mind and the worst thing is you can be the slavery. you lose your control of your body, HAHAHA. Have a nice life, Mr.

I'm sure on some level the irony of the situation must not be lost on them. They are conversing about our sense of separateness while in a modern studio with all kinds of technological gadgets and wooden furniture that more than likely required the destruction of some forest or marine ecosystem. I appreciate the debate, but this is a good representation of where the problem lies. Nobody wants to give up "the dream", despite its many flaws, due to the lack of a deep sense of community in the broader society. I think that sense of community has to be created (artificially) in a strong and sustainable way before people are asked to let go of some aspects of the current system. And I'm not talking about people going on a retreat abroad two weeks or whatever, I'm talking about serious public and private investment to research and implement alternative ways of living that address every aspect of human life currently covered by things which we know to be unsustainable. That's what is required to make some serious changes on the planet.

Zach Bush can't really be against the notion of private property unless he gives up all of his private property items as well, though. Is everyone invited to his home? Can the everyone hang out on his lawn? If the food in my hands isn't mine, what's to stop someone else from snatching it and eating it themselves? At some point, something must be mine and something must be yours.

Somehow I'm sensing that we've been here before, our war like behavior has happened before and Venus is the result of nuclear weapons and going to the hills is not going to save humanity, yes sounds crazy maybe it is. But I think we better come together before we destroy this paradise we have here.

This is not a retorical question, just help me understand: were the native American tribes not beating the crap out of each other too for territory when the Europeans arrived on the continent? This idillic vision of the past, as Paradise Lost has been done before, but I really don't see it. The concept of private property is innate, I think.

I can answer every question in detail if anyone really wants to know. I don’t say this because I think I’m special. I say it because I owe it to the planet because “God” gave me the gift of the message of Truth. I won’t try to put it in a comment section or even a video. It takes a personal interaction to understand. Anyone interested in connecting and bettering this planet while we can? Just let me know and I’ll give you my email and we can go from there. God’s blessings to all! This is not a joke. This is the answer humanity needs.
