I am always amazed that so many of these old buildings suffered a fire in their history. Especially since they appear to be constructed 95% of stone! 😮
I looked up Sir Michael Angus and he lived in NY for a few years. I am in NY too but wasn’t born yet, when was was here. Beautiful architecture and natural settings. I’d love to see a more in depth tour of that church. I took a screen shot of Christ Crucified artwork.

Cerney House Gardens is the most tranquil spot. I have a yearly subscription so can visit at all times of the year. At the moment (July) the gardens are stunning.
North Cerney is charming. Very close to us as we are in Gloucester. Thanks for showing this lovely place. It is firmly in our list to wander around. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️

It's worth going back to the church, especially for the painted statues in the south transept.
