I bought my C400GT from Ocean Torbay. Then rode it all the way back to North Yorkshire 🤣😂 I think one of these is going to be its replacement. Electric is definitely the way to go, especially with fuel prices going the way they are 🤦🏻♂️
11kw for the city would be ideal for cheaper insurance and benefits range/heat management. Missed opportunity, they could have made double battery or 30 minutes charging (higher voltage) to be a ultimate long distance electric vehicle option with the same product cost.
This a premium beautiful electric bike, scooter type with a futuristic look what gives everyone the clear view for an hipster vehicle for city riding - And at the same time where the benefits of an electric vehicle are most required. It’s expensive but it will be always a not cheap solution. The upper points for this bike are several . If you live and work in the city or near it, this can be your main personal way of transport. Rather than that you must use another bikeo or mean of transportation. For an electric Scooter I find it so futuristic and beautiful. Look at that rear section, so low and the mud guard covering almost the entire wheel sided by the beautiful signing lights. It’s just gorgeous! The front is ok but somehow normal. The sides of the bike are another must of design, a piece of art. Would I buy it? It’s a long stretch for a second bike, but I would like to explore more. Your helmet doesn’t fit because it’s not a scooter helmet.
This bike starts at 11,700. Still expensive for what it is, but I think we are missing the point here. All electric-powered vehicles are more expensive than their ICE equivalents. It is due to the cost of the batteries currently being almost 50% of the cost of the vehicle. We have a long way to go before batteries become cheaper, so I'm afraid we are going to see these types of prices for some time to come. We should applaud manufacturers though for giving us a glimpse into what can be possible at a cheaper price in the future I think. I'll give this one a miss also.
The lack of noise is going to be a problem when you get pedestrians walking out in front of you and if they're wearing headphones. They may have to put in a "noise" for low speeds like they do with some electric cars. Definitely a town bike with that range.
Great review! I'm a commuter...I could swap my 2017 GS Rallye for this, fully specced out with hardly any additional charge...sweet! In Belgium, there is also a 15% governement discount on sales price of EV's... really thinking about this one. The range (my commute is 50km one way) and the seating comfort (I'm 6"2) are my only concerns...I will have to take it for a spin for sure!
Thanks Toby for your efforts. I make no apologies for the following cynical comment. This will be a rich boy’s toy with just enough range to get them to their fancychino in the local coffee shop and back. Until OEM’s get their act together and finally are able to produce a machine at a real world price and can give real world, usable range they are not going to make the difference that the propaganda is forcing us to go with.
This has been around a couple of years now, but I have never seen one on the road. Has anybody on here had an insurance quote? I have heard that premiums are very high.
@@thepeakybiker I was trying to think when we had and I’m currently on tour in Switzerland with a client talking to me about the vagary’s of his GPS… Still ride safe though, ha!
Love the bike, but the range is terrible! Bmw: The company that overuses the word URBAN just so they dont have to worry about range. But the buyer will. Why so crap range in 2022?
I'm a bit older and I'd quite fancy an electric bike but not like this thing, I'd want proper speed and range and at reasonable price. This thing is just a silly expensive toy.
Whatever you do, DON'T test drive this BMW CE 04 or you will end up buying it. I did and I will never regret it.
Lovely review. Really like the way you guys talk!
Mine is turning a bunch of heads in the repair shop, after three months of ownership 😂

Totally agree. They need to have better range and a much more affordable price
Twice range ... HALF price. Electric N A V l ...9Okph. 1OO+kilometerz RANGE. $3k
Looks great but that's a terrible range.

There only too thing is the money and the range but it cool as
Great review.
I will stick to my DIY ebikes that cost me £300 to convert lol, no range worries with those either because I can pedal...
Oh hell no!
Maybe if it was £3k I'd consider it ..
I’m 50 & thank god I’ll finish my riding years on a petrol engine , that bike looks like shite, great review though !

@@FlyingFun. I beg to differ. Its a silly expensive toy without range;) (But it goes like stink)
@@soulslaveone I'd hire one on holiday maybe but not paying 14k to own, battery will likely not last too many years either.
£14000 another complete joke these bikes are not ready over priced toys just like the huge 4x4 electric suv 300 miles if your lucky
Futury$tx. Not ready 4 reaLife ... Y E T
