And you'll have to change your seats constantly as passengers will be on your seat with each station.

This won't work always.
1. TC will allot such seats to RAC / Offline WL passengers first for the time being.
2. TC will "adjust" those seats to some other passengers ;)
3. If all other people who have not booked confirm seat use this trick, then everyone will rush to claim such temporary vacant seats, which can lead to mess.

I had done this 2 times😅
Ek baar mere paas sleeper rac ticket tha, maine vacant seat dekhi and tier3a mein jaake so gya and direct subah deboard kiya.
And ek baar same tier 3a ki rac ticket thi, and mughe letne ka mann tha, same vacant seat dekhi and same coach mein seat vacant mil gyi

Bhai current booking ka concept sunna hai wohota hai emergency ke liye .You can book tickect in current booking ye jo bhi available seat hai waha mil jayegi ....but issue hai ki short duration wali hi milta hai tockect long wali khali hona bahot mushkil still short travel ke liye acha hai

Agar kisi ko emergency mai travel karna hai aur uske pass time hai yoh wah waitlisted ticket khareed le counter se agar chart preparation ho chuka hai toh next ane wale station se book kare , better to take waitlisted counter ticket , rather than going to sleeper coach with general ticket
