I'm an industrial electrician at a university power plant. In my left shirt pocket I have a pouch that I'll keep a sharpie, flashlight, pen, pencil, and highlighter. My right shirt pocket I'll keep a notebook. Front right pocket I have a Klein utility knife, and my wallet. Front left pocket I keep my phone. In the small pocket of my pants, formally the watch pocket I guess, I have an extra set of ear plugs. I don't like having any bulky crap in my back pockets because I have lower back problems, so my back right pocket I have a microfiber cloth for my glasses. In my right leg pocket on my pants I have strippers and a Klein multi driver. In my left leg pocket I have my lineman pliers, and a pair of channel locks. On my front right belt loop I have a carabiner with my high voltage gloves, and a LOTO lock. Right side belt loop I have the keys for work. Left side belt loop I have a leatherman wingman and sheath. On my hard hat I have a flashlight, and I took a pair of ear plugs and tied them to the back. I also have my watch which is a galaxy active 2 on my left wrist. Usually my meter will go on my front left belt loop.

Nice one. When I was at the plant I carried my klein knife I've reviewed, klein 10 in 1, some kind of pen light, a pen and a little notebook......3 pack, .88 cents at walmart, go get some! 😝 Hell even here at home I carry one lol

Good video. Pen and a notebook seem to be the tools I use mostly these days. I also carry a steel rule, Knipex pen style panel key with a flat and Philips head, a 2.5mm flat terminal screwdriver, an ATEX rated torch, a volt stick and a set of gloves finishes it off. After that it is back to the workshops for a proper bag of tools.

Most of what I can do doesn't need much tools but I hate walking half to around the factory for a call and missing a small tool needed haha

Yea, I do controls now so my set up has changed a bit. The new milwaukee knife with bit driver is game changing

What would be a good video subject (and get you a lot of views in this current job market) would be tips for new factory maintenance techs. Like what is the typical toolbox that is used, should it be mobile or big enough to hold a ton of tools, what is typically expected from you when you start as far as tools and understanding. I have seen a bunch of auto mechanics, and field service techs flooding into the factories and distribution warehouses in the past 5 years, and they are caught off guard from the new culture shock here. I went on CZcams looking for a good video to send them to, and it’s seriously lacking on here.
