    Thanks for mentioning that you should use chalk that matches the table. We manage a pool room, and we provide blue Master chalk free to all our customers, but some customers want to play on our blue tables with their "favorite chalk", which happens to be red, or black, or tan, or "not blue". If they insist on using their red chalk, we insist that they find a new place to play pool.

    Love your videos, they have helped my playing immensely, but please pick up a cheap lavalier mic and normalize the levels in your editing software.. The audio levels are very low on most of your vids making it hard to hear you.

    What's your thoughts on abrasive like q Wiz? Since you do not have it in your set

    • @TheBilliardsDoctor
      @TheBilliardsDoctor Před 5 lety

      I am not a big fan of using abrasives or polish on my cue. As long as you keep your cue clean and wipe the chalk off after you are done playing then your cue should never really become sticky or not smooth. But it is all personal preference. I know some players who use products like that once a month or so, but for me personally, I just take good care of my cue and have never needed to use these products because over time these products are either adding a layer (if use polish) or taking away a layer (if you use a sandpaper type product) which in theory changes the shaft's specs and can add on even or uneven layers onto your cue. But like I said, its all personal preference.

      @@dennischia9675 I'm really glad you like my videos! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to make a video about top 10 cues, because I am a medical student and do not have the money to buy and test out many cues. Maybe in the future though if this channel really takes off and I maybe get sponsorship to test out cues! But we'll see based on how much time I have! Currently, med school is intense haha

      I got it at a special pool clinic. I do not think they sell them anywhere. They are very easy to make though! I am sure you can make one!

    I love pool. I really do. But my god it has to be the most expensive sport EVER! Like I recently bought my first cue, a little under $200. Nothing special. I would love to have a high end cue, especially a predator but thats like $1000+. And now for my cue i want to get it trimmed and a new tip which is like 50 bucks right there. And all these other accessories run you 100+ dollars. Also i cant even think about spending $150+ on a jump/break you. On top of all that, playing pool isnt cheap! At least not in my area. I like to play for Hours! At a time sometimes. And i usually go me and a friend. They charge $12 an hour. So like a 3 hr session would run us $16 each. Imagine if i played everyday or every other day?? And then i just joined a league because obviously i thought it would be fun, and it is. Its once a week, and I typically play around 2 matches. They charge $11 a match so thats $22 right there. Ik ik, im rambling and nobody is prob gon read this lol. But its like DAMN. Im a full time student and i work part time. I really want to save my money for a car, and there are also the general expenses of life. But i also honestly LOVE playing pool. I dont got moola like that and it sucks cuz i all i wanna do in my free time is play pool and get better!😭😫

      Try to find a friend that has a pool table or often times, there are pool tables on college campuses or at college dorms that you can play for free. All the accessories and stuff are extra and are not necessary to be an amazing pool player! But yes, I agree that pool is expensive. Although hockey and golf (two other sports I play) are probably even more expensive but that just seems to be the trend with sports nowadays. Like for example, I found a church near my med school that has a pool table for people to use for free as well as some of my friends at the undergrad dorms have a pool table to use for free, too!
