I was using a gel pen but I think it's not so good for pen drawing. I'm not certain as I only just started with pen drawing. Do you think ballpoint and gel are different ? It seems gel makes mark with shading even if wipe pen in between shading.and I'm trying to go light but still marks appear that make shade not smooth. Thanku for your tutorials. I love drawing and enjoy new medium of blue pen art.

Well it could be that the brand of white gel pen you got might not be workable with ballpoint pen. I once faced same issue until I got a good gel pen.
For gel pen to show really well, it's achieved with multiple repetition on the particular space you work on.
