This means a lot for me as I spent a good chunk of time debugging, modifying system files and working on this modification. Glad you found the easter eggs I hid inside of it.
From a more technical standpoint, Windows RG Update, Help and CD autoplay should show personalized blue screen of death. For some reason, virtualization programs have problems displaying them as shown in the video. However, real hardware shows them as intended as seen on my video about testing it on real hardware.
The Crash button on the start menu starts a VBScript fork program that hogs the memory. I wanted to kill Explorer.exe, just like on Windows NT and call it a day, but the nature of Windows 9x is different and it displays a shutdown dialog instead. It doesn't support transparency effects either, so the screen "flickers" during the shutdown program rather than dimming the screen.
As some may have noticed, I also modified some of the HTML code of the Explorer windows to not show the images on the top (to resemble RG as close as possible) and modified the Recycle Bin text.
Winver.exe and the non-ACPI shutdown screen also got modified.
Perhaps you could try Windows FU next? It's also a great recreation of the original parody based off Windows XP (as the original creator intended judging by the sounds). I'm in the process of migrating the files to the Internet Archive to make the download page more user-friendly, so I'll send a request when everything is ready.

Anyways, I actually thought it was cool and funny to see Windows RG as a real operating system.
Man, I remember when I was a kid I was super interested in computers and just like everyone else in the mid 2000s, I hated MS, so I would play these Windows parody games on Newgrounds. A few of them had porn which was my first time seeing booba in a game.
I miss this time so much, bros,,, it's actually insane someone made this.
