I'd just like to mention that the DVD packaging itself is pure genius. The lame photoshop on the front, the plain white text on the spine, it really looks like Steve Brule threw it together in the 5 minutes before the studio opened or something. Plus, the DVD itself only says "Channel 5 News," no mention of the actual title; he's recording over the studio's old tapes. This is also the reason for the cutaways to Yesterday's Weather and such.
I'm pretty sure everyone already figured this out, but I just can't get over it. It's amazing how much effort was put into making it look like no effort was put into it, I love it.

Oh snap! I never even questioned the shitty editing. That makes sense though. Damn. Yeah a lot of effort haha. So....does that mean Steve is like...a janitor or something with access to all the equipment and studio and just does pretend time after hours or something? Conan's face after the clip was my face during every show on adult swim.
Major props to Mr. Reilly for staying "in character" and describing Tim and Eric as his friends and not admitting that he is Dr. Brule. Like it or not, Tim and Eric fans, but Reilly is a way bigger star than either Tim and Eric. And the fact that he is happy to stay true to their style of comedy even on big stages, and help them promote their brand of comedy, says a lot of positive things about him as an artist
If you ever watch the movie Kong skull island mr. Reilly has on the back of his jacket “for your health” lol
He also tries to keep his character a separate entity from his life, as in “I’ve heard about him, but I don’t know him”
