    Polya is made up of rice and jaggery, made during aagri’s haldi ceremony.
    Ingredients-
    Rice(patni) which used to make bhakris-250 gms
    Urad-50 gms
    Salt- ¼ tsp
    Jaggery- 60 gms
    Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
    Oil or ghee
    Method-
    Soak rice overnight. Nxt day drain excess water and spread on cotton cloth to dry completely.
    Grind rice and urad dal into fine flour.add water and make a thick batter and keep it for 7 to 8 hours for fermentation.
    Mix little water in jaggery and let it dessolve.
    While making polya, mix turmeric,salt cumin and jaggery water and mix well.
    Heat pan, apply some oil or ghee, make round shape pola .cover with lid and cook on low flame. After 5 mins ,flip and let it cook from other side. Once done. Remove . In same way do the rest.
