  • You never know what surprise discovery you’ll find in Mother Nature on the trapline...especially when combined with what humans leave behind. Another example of nature overcoming diversity.

There's no way I'd left that if I'd been the fisherman. Cool find.

Saw the owner a few days after I made the video..he was pulling trees from pond edge with a backhoe and told him my story…I cut it out with my pack saw and it sits on a gun safe in my man cave

I just found your channel and subscribed! This is my 47th year trapping but it was cut short. I just had nerve surgery on my arm so I just sit and watch everyone else having fun!! Thanks for the video!! Nice muskrat!!

@@PalmettoMountainMan I did enjoy your video! In my opinion the ability to learn something new each season is what makes a good trapper. There are some out there that claim to be " Master" trapper's but there really aren't any "Master" trapper's. We all have our own tricks and special sets and baits or lures but no one knows everything! I have kept trapping journals since I was 8 and I am always going back to see how I dealt with different problems in the past. That's what makes trapping fun and exciting it's just a puzzle sometimes it's easy but sometimes it's very hard because animals adapt better than we do. I hope to set again this year but I don't know yet! I have a lot of orders for the coats, blankets and hats I make. I'm way behind on fur!! Good luck be safe and thanks for sharing your videos!!

The ones that catch you way off guard are the best. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Definitely odd…probably even more so in that someone found it. Ever wonder what the underwater roots of trees at a heavily fished public pond look like?
