Actually you are partly right about the empty apartment. Part of my videos were filmed while I lived in a student apartment which had a big kitchen/living room without furniture or textiles. So, I used that room as my personal studio. I admit that it wasn't the best place to film because of the echoing but it was way better then my small room. And about neighbors, I never got complains although my friend (who lived in the same apartment building but on the other side of it) told that he could clearly hear me playing accordion.
Ellin Polkka is indeed similar to Levan Polkka (1st section) but there are differences. The music heard in this video is the same music that Viola Turpeinen recorded circa 1949 for Standard Record Company [F - 5077, matrix 11-182]. The piece is labelled Ellin Polkka (Levan Polkka). The first section mirrors recent CZcams performances of Levan Polkka but other sections are different and exclusive to Ellin. It would be great if someone were to compile a collection of the great older Finnish accordion Schottiis, Polkkas, Waltzes, and mazurkas - - if such a collection exists, I, for one, would like to know (I've been searching for such a collection for 60 years!) I hear great performances of this music on CZcams, but! Where is the printed music?
