Hi Holly! Informative, crisp and well edited video. I'm from India and I'm confused whether to go for English Literature or International Relations course. Since you mentioned in the video as well about IR course.
Also Holly, I'd like your suggestion as to what time period is the best for max learning as well as visiting all possible landmarks in London. 2 weeks seems quite a short time somehow. Rest what about your experience?

I took part in an Oxford Summer Course in Oxford last summer and I feel like you are really able to capture how amazing the course is!

Going to be doing a masters in law at Cambridge from October. I checked the cost of these courses more out of interest than anything but the 4 week course costs over half of my fees to do a master's which is quite crazy. Obviously accommodation and food is covered but even still. All the same they look like really interesting courses.

I‘ve enrolled in Pembroke-King's Summer School Program in the summer of 2017, and spent 2 months in Cambridge. It was such an amazing and unforgettable trip. Really wish that I will get another chance to live and study for a period in Cambridge :) And thank you Holly I saw your videos only since recently and start to watch them from the beginning. Is it worth it?
These courses really don't sit right with me.
I hate to sound so left-wing, but these courses seem that they continue the trend that the richest people have the ability to access more support to insure that they have a better chance when applying, in comparison to someone like me who couldn't afford it.
The website itself has 0 mention of funding, so it's apparently exclusively available to those who can afford it. So much for 'breaking the mould', or whatever.
Even if there is some hidden funding that could be found, it's not doing a good job of making itself known.
This sort of oozes elitism, which is something that I'm sure Oxbridge is trying to move away from. I suppose that could be why the company itself isn't affiliated with either university.
Although I think it's incredibly selfless, and noble of you to give up your time to help out with the courses, I am not too sure whether I could do the same thing.
Thank you for the video though, it's very enlightening to see this from a Cam student's perspective.
Fred W stop being so butthurt. cheer up! it’s ok if you can’t afford it. i don’t exactly know how you feel as i actually went for the course and i’m lucky that my family can afford it but, trust me. you’re not missing out.
The point he was making was not to do with missing out, I believe, but more to do with the elitist stereotype Oxbridge has and how, despite the universities supposedly trying to break this stereotype, this programme reinforces it due to how it's only accessible to more 'well-off' individuals. I don't think he's being 'butt hurt' but actually making quite a fair point.
I myself grew up in a pretty rich famaily and did go to these courses and I completely agree with you

The course seems really amazing and all, but I heard that these summer courses were run by private companies, rather than the university itself. Do you think it's still worth it going there? I am really interested in visiting the university but I live in Canada, so it's quite difficult to just fly there...

Hello! I have just recently applied for this course and got in straight away! Many people are speculating whether it is a scam? Please help me find the real like as I was so confident and now I’m unsure! There seems to be another different website with the exact same ideas revolving around the Oxford Summer Courses, but both asking for different things? Im sooooo confused! I just got accepted into the 2 week maths course at Cambridge for 13-15 but unfortunately cannot attend since it is £4000 which is a bit extortionate

I'd absolutely LOVE to come and study philosophy but as I'm 14, I'm not yet old enough to go on course which runs philosophy. I've decided to look into bursaries/ a scholarship and start raising funds for the Summer between year 11 and year 12 (£3,300 is a lot for two weeks and there's no way my parents will pay for it). Any ideas as to how to start/ go about doing this? Xx
