We had that kind of late night host here in Germany. The Harald Schmidt Show. But since he retired.....there is a big big Empty in German Late Night Shows.....craig is a natural Talent.... Miss him
It's weird, but I've seen her numerous interviews and I'm not saying she's a fake person, but there's something about her natural personality that makes her seem so disingenuous and I find it hard to watch her when she's not acting
I have luckily only had to fly a few times in my life, but I will never ever understand people having legit problems that someone has their crying baby on the plane. Like there's so many other options! I will never understand people getting mad because they aren't quieting the baby as if it's easy and they're just choosing not to😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Change I'm pretty sure appearance fees for TV are under union rules minimums or even a flat rate for talk shows like this. Many times I've seen huge stars remark that they weren't going to do their stage act for union scale. Nice try though.
@Change As long as it's within the US, the same rules would apply regardless. That's how the big union works. SAG-AFTRA is now the combined media performers union iirc. So there would be no such thing as "other interviews that pay more" in the world of American TV talk. It would have to be like an exclusive one-on-one special headline broadcast that becomes its own event otherwise, it still falls under the standard union scale rule for an appearance fee. It protects both sides from unfair bartering and leveraging for financial motives. A first time newbie kid star or an A-list mega-millions star all get the same token fee.
@Change Think about it. The whole concept of a union is that rates are fixed uniformly for specific things regardless of which union member gets the job. Which is why I don't like unionism, btw. I'm just saying how it works. In your example, both of those show appearances are considered a fixed commodity like a return deposit on a shopping cart. The deposit/reward is fixed no matter which customer is getting it at what time of day. Don't worry. The big stars get more free exposure *because* hey are big stars and it's sort of built into their mega movie deals to do these appearances for premieres and new shows. It increases their goodwill like doing pro bono work is meant to be for rich law firms. Harrison Ford for example is famous for hating to do the talk show promotion thing but he's had to do it at times because he's been in some of the biggest studio films in history and has been paid accordingly. He'll show up and give yes/no one-word answers to the host and be crabby doing it. Other stars (Jim Carrey, Bruce Willis) have won over the public by being great cooperative guests and the shows love to book them. It's their option how to behave but it's the same pay for all in the system.
