    Thank you and keep up the good work 👍🏻

    Last time I was in that very same longship they took me off the oar's. I kept banging against the next oar lol and I was laugh at too.

    A) They named them Greenland and Iceland, and the reverse was true.
    B) Arms or oars (but rarely orks) - the flogging will continue until morale improves.
    C) Since Viking means pirate (as compared to Norsemen from the north or Rus , who would settle Russia) I am going to go with to rob, plunder and in the UK, eventually farm.
    D) Bonus question - what did the crew say when Mr. Bradley came on board? Ahhhhh man! (Except one woman who screamed "A Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" and then chased him through out the journey! hoping to keep him as her own.)

    • @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun
      @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun  Před 2 lety

      Haha, Full marks!! Perfect answers for all. Impressive knowledge.
      The bonus question didn’t hurt either. Had a good laugh at that one 😂

      Your time perspective is flawed!!!.
      You can not use modern time look on Greenland and Iceland.
      If you go back 1000+ years... you would see that the vikings named the areas correct. Greenland was green, and Iceland was mainly ice.
      People of old named places using logic... "Newfoundland" it was a new land for them... etc etc.

    • @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun
      @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you’re absolutely correct! I’m merely remaining in character. From a Vikings perspective it would have seemed like new unexplored lands from this in the East. But of course, the western world was already inhabited.

    did they have a toilet? a bucket? or just poop on deck?

    • @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun
      @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun  Před 2 lety

      I don’t think they had toilets. I’d imagine it was a bucket or they did their business over the edge of the ship.

    I am sad to say it, but this little boat is far from a Viking longship. And, the rowing skills of the crew is, how to say it polite, there are some improvement issues here.
