This video does NOT cover the actual ECU firmware update for the throttle body system. Once the handheld has been updated to T210, you then need to update the ECU on the throttle body. You will need to navigate the menus on the handheld and look for "UPDATE ECU" (I think that's how it's titled). Once you update the ECU with the new T210 firmware, you will then need to go through ALL the menus and build your calibration/tune all over again.
It would be nice to know the different features in the software versions. That way I know what new features are available if I want to update.
This could possibly be a tech video! Thanks for the suggestion.
@@FiTechEFImedia typically with software development there are change logs created with all changes documented. Is this being done for the fitech versions? If so, can they be posted to the website?
@@FiTechEFImedia This could also be a brief run down in your website. Providing change details for all firmware and software is a best practice across all industries.
@@FiTechEFImedia what version is the older display on now (I have T198i -joystick with white arrows)? Does the new update allow these older displays to do VE modifications?
Gold morning...my fitech are handheld are displays White.. not initially ...wy??? Thanks
Hi,
I just saw this video that says to update the screen otherwise the fitech system will short circuit it !!! The video is 5 months old...I've had the screen for 12 months and 20 days... After sales service tell me : "it's to late to change it by warranty..."
I think you realized the problem along the way. You have noticed a software problem and do not assume after-sales services... Now I have a black screen and I can no longer adjust my fitech... Or I have to buy one again !! 😔
Very disappointed by the after sales service 😡
Cheers from France.
It would be nice to know what the latest software is. Or an easier way to get it. I have email 3 times asking about it and never got a response.
The latest software on throttle body systems is T210. On LS systems its T541.
I had to send in my unit to get the ECU replaced and get the new relay system for the fuel system about a year ago. Is it safe to assume that my handheld was updated with the latest software, for the relay system, at that time and I don't need to contact Fitech if everything is running smoothly?
If the system came into warranty for an ECU replacement and the handheld was also supplied the entire system would be updated during the servicing.
Mine wasn’t!
Where can I download the laptop software? It’s not on my handheld.
Hello, our protuning software is only available on our power adder systems and other systems. Which one do you have?
Would ne nice to allow people to download the most recent from the website. Put a disclaimer and see how many people screw up and give you business. The rest of us will be happy to have access to it. BTW fix your data log with the new handheld.
We are working on creating the most foolproof method possible to allow this download on our website in order to avoid loading the incorrect software to the handheld. You will see this in the near future. We are also doing a video on the data log.
This does not work. I downloaded the files emailed to me, followed these instructions perfectly. Files are on the handheld, when I reboot, "Couldn't find *.bin file." All the work is done on the swap. This is incredibly frustrating. Thinking I should have stayed with the original ECU that we pulled out of the Tahoe.
Same issue. Any fix by chance?

I wish that I could tell you what exactly I did. I tried multiple softwares to download the files. Eventually I got one that worked. I followed along with this video (there is no sound): czcams.com/video/-t0lRciAPhQ/video.html@@aaronhall2895

Add another with the same issue.
PLEASE do videos without that terrible music
I sent an email and didn’t get a response, what’s the latest software for the 2 dot handheld? I have the 70051 kit with the relay/fuse box. Can you email me the latest update?
Hi Joseph, which email address did you send it to? This way I can get a tech to send you the information.
