I like how Vailord, instead of boosting Bavsargra only when he was Trickmoon, now after overdressing into Vailord, he give the "Support" (Boost) to everyone(front row), i like that change and symbolism. Really Lore accurate how Bav was a "lone" fighter and now she has the power of friendship. Heck, even now she's a teacher in the Dragon Empire
Well despite only 15k front, can be do with rearguard boost with normal trickmoon
@@dearestantriantohaditsfard250 yeah, i know, but im talking Vailord itself, he's not depressed Trickmoon that only support Bavsargra anymore. Now he can give front row power boost, to other units, not only Bavsargra. That's what i like from overDress symbolism and lore.
I feel like that’s the point regarding Overdress symbolism and lore, to me personally, the episodes where Mirei gets the main focus are my favorite along with the way she fights as a cardfighter and character.
Like seriously, you can compare apples and oranges but I loved of what Mirei said about Overdress and overall acceptance.
Haruka always supported Mirei the most in hence why they get along so well, I would love for her to get stronger with further support.
She has come a long way since we (As the viewers!!!) first met Mirei in Season Two and her rideline is definitely one of my personal favorites!!! 🥹💛

I said it once that any episode with Mirei is a sight to behold and I'm glad to know she keeps delivering in that regard, now "learning" Yu-yu's OverDress schtick

Correct, it's only natural that Mirei would incorporate it into her deck if it gave her more options.
In a way Mirei is more like ren for this series both going down the wrong path but thx to the mc they found thier own path

Megumi’s not a jobber though since out of the eight onscreen fights she’s been in, she’s won four of those fights.
I like the fact that they made Mireis overdress unit a support unit rather than an attacking one like yuyus. So they each have their own take on the mechanic.
Love how these episodes tie into the card lore really well. Bav started out as a lone wolf kinda person but thanks to Trickmoon evolving into Vairlord, Bav is learning to rely on allies a lot more. Same goes for Mirei, any episode with her is an absolute gem

Did anyone expect otherwise? She's clearly not a big player here, so her fall to the dark side was mostly for the sake of development of her own character arc. Which, admittedly, is two seasons late (we REALLY needed that tournament arc, yes).

I think Haruka was always going lose because we were due new arms cards & we got a new Trickmoon
I wish Haruka actually got a win, but I'm really happy of this episode, I love Mirei centric ones. It was also cool how they mirrored each other of Haruka wavering whilst Mirei believed and they even pulled the same triggers (Crit to Draw), also how is no one talking about how this is actually the first time Mirei won with the gun lol because she lost two of her past games due to it. The monologue of when Bavsargra was flying towards Gravidia that Mirei was thankful for Haruka always being there when she was down and for keeping an eye on her was honestly one of the sweetest things to hear from the anime, the thank you at the end melts you.
This fight was actually great. I’m happy that Mirei got strong and that we got to see Trickmoon in its overDress state🌙
With a little dust in my eye (I'm not crying YOU'RE CRYING), no amount of words can describe how proud and happy I am with Mirei. Arguably one the most well developed and written VG female characters ever. Love that she still remembers and holds on to Yuyu's Overdress analogy of it's not about rejecting you're past but accepting who you are and move forward which I'm glad Haruka has done.
This is why Overdress is the superior VG series to OG, G and V

@@jremydadude6238 If the poor thing is a punching bag and that blue angel at first it was thought that she was going to be a great duelist, she had power I have no doubt, but since the writers decided that because of her balls she was going to be the punching bag par excellence and that's how he stayed throughout the series, not to mention that his participation after the first arc was reduced as the series progressed completely, in a way, I'm glad that his character (Mirei) in vanguard is so well developed and they give him the enough treatment to be a top both as a character and a duelist in the franchise.
Mirei episodes like this always manage to make me cry somehow. Glad she got spotlight again
Mirei's victory against Haruka was beautiful to watch given that Uniformers has been on a roll this season until Haruka's loss. Even with this, things still aren't quite looking up. Megumi has joined Uniformers like Zakusa, and Mirei's win here could bring her more attention from Uniformers in the future.
Absolute game changer. I suppose it is on the same level as Danji using Demonic Jeweled Dragon against Michiru Masq. but it was a total shock with the Trick Moon Overdress. The people they were having a cardfight with are all important to them.
I’d say Danji using that card was the spiciest of all spicy tech cards

Right now this episode is my favorite episode so far. I love how Danji trusts Mirei she can handle with Haruka and them giving each other a peace of mind, love Minae siblings. Also Mirei calling for Haruka gave me massive Danji vibes😆
I was expecting Bavsargra would get at least an arm but she got not only 2 ARMS AND ALSO OVERDRESS OF TRICKMOON, VAILORD!!! I was so hyped when happened! I also thought how Nirvana is behind Vairina and how Vailord is behind Bavsargra, I love when Yuyu and Mirei's cards mirror each other.
At the end it looked like Zakusa and Danji gonna fight next but after preview ım not so sure. They really make me more hyped with each episode.
Oh and also they should print Zakusa's paintings they are so good🤩

Might be just me but everytime I see Mirei and Haruka together it really takes me back Overdress S2 aka PEAK season. I hope this brings a good closure for both of them Haruka especially.
It does sadden me to see Mirei throwing away Danji’s attention but major credibility for Mirei keeping her composure while serious about Haruka because she means a lot to Mirei alongside the fact the title pretty much telegraphed that Mirei was guaranteed to win!!!
Wasn’t easy though but made me teary-eyed when Mirei overdressed and seeing Bavsargra is always a treat.
The way Mirei fought against Haruka was honestly one of her best throughout this season and felt so poignant and beautiful, this is definitely one of my favorite cardfights from Mirei and definitely within my top 10 episodes from Vanguard.💛🌙✨

While wanting the "Ultimate Fight" is all well & good, it's an arbitrary goal at face value, and even if you get to that fight, regardless of the outcome, you're just gonna want to chase the high it gave you & eventually it'll turn nostalgic, and no one can compete with the rose tinted glasses that is nostalgia

What an episode! Trickmoon got an Overdress that was the last I expected. The feels where so strong. I like that during their fight Mirei didn't have anyone Tell her the damage checks or Drive checks probably because they trust each other so much. From the Preview it Looks Like next week is gonna be lit as well. This season is so good

People think Haruka will win against Mirei due to Masques fighters always win at first time but don't forget Asaka and Tetsu also lose in first time even after they become Reversed.

Well Mirei kinda is the Ren to Yuyu’s Aichi. So it clocks out the same.
Another point here: Haruka lost every cardfight she's been in and her two losses this season continue the trend.
Edit: She DID win one match in season 2, but it was pretty much offscreen so it's hard to really count that one.

Haruka didn't take the sink of swim decision in the decisive moment, but that's why she lost. Also it seems that new future support for Bavsaraga will be Arms order and Trickmoon Overdress. New Bavsaraga won't appear for a while.
Like I mentioned before, this fight will be like Ren vs Asaka and Tetsu Reverse. There is 0% that Mirei will lose. Also Yuyu won't lose again, since he tasted the defeat by Gui.

I've been wanting a Bavsagra evolution for a long time, but I do understand why they probably won't do it. They would have to (re)print/redesign the arms card for both the OG and the retrain, so it would be costly (either that or make the new version still align with the arms while maintaining the same background). However, if they expand on Trickmoon overdress forms, I'm fine with it.
Maybe this means that Jheva will get arms? (Jheva is the form of Nirvana with the power of Bavsagra, if I'm not mistaken. Just saying...)

My excitement was over the roof when this episode was previewed, and after watching it, all I can say is that it exceeded my expectations by a lot.
Spoilers!
First off before I go on a tangent, I love how the other fighters from the Japan Deluxe are not into the whole Uniformers cult going on, I especially agree with Himari here I rather have fun with cards I like. Also after the reveal of Magnolia Masques concluded that Megumi did indeed accepted Halona's offer to join Uniformers which I am sad about but I can see why, after seeing how strong Yuyu and the others have become she might have felt left behind and decided to go for it to see if she can become stronger.
Now for the Main reason I was excited for this episode. First of, I'm glad Mirei won this fight and I do feel bad for Haruka in this episode, I can see why she feels that way about herself, it's clearly obvious that she still had lingering regrets ever since season 2 where she felt like she wasn't really making Mirei happy rather she made Mirei suffer, and well like Mirei said in their cardfight she's not the one who decides that, Mirei mostly seen Haruka's actions as a sign that she truly cares for her rather than being a burden to her, I also disagree with Haruka's statement of Mirei being able to fly on her own, because it's obvious that Mirei wouldn't have take flight to begin with without her help, (though the guy who provided the help they needed wasn't the best person for the job. It still made it clear that she wouldn't reach to where she is now with out her help) really makes the dynamic of Trickmoon and Bavsargra more symbolic as it represents both of them. Haruka was always there for Mirei which is why she was able to fly.
Secondly, REJOICE BAVSARGRA MAINS WE FINALLY GET NEW BAVSARGRA SUPPORT!! I did not expect two new Arms order cards now it's a Hammer and an Axe, I was only expecting expecting a new Bavsargra or Mirei pulling a Danji and using Trickstar to Overdress into something, instead both, a new unit for Bavsargra called Vairlord which is a new form that you Overdress Trickmoon with (and a grade -1 edgier version of Vairina). I really like it's new Dressboost, it's sort of a guranteed Persona ride also it's skill to choose an Arms order from drop and Armed it to Bavsargra, I can see this ability working with Tvashtar as it can just replace itself with Swayanbuh at the end of the turn, though the issue of this is that what Arms cards or Vairlord is needed for Bavsargra. For Nordlinger Masques, it pretty much grantees you that you will use it's second ability thanks to the first one, aslo the fact that it can call rearguards for each two Meteorite card makes it so that whatever trigger is pulled at that moment both front row RG could potentially gain huge power, giving them +45k - 65k power each (Persona ride + Dragontree + Two triggers + Nordlinger's ability) this not even counting OT.
Next is Danji vs Megumi, which is most likely Magnolia Masques Debut, I think Danji will win this and prove her wrong but I dont know, the title is more inclined towards Megumi, so it's still kinda hard to say.
If danji lose then maybe yuyu fight her too to help her to leave someone shadow and megumi to accept her of what she truly is.
I would need a ruling here but since hellhazard counts as 2, does that mean that dropping two of them will let us call two units when using the masque?
Knowing that megumi will have her uniformers phase is a bit sad
Can't wait for YuYu to use that Grade 4 X-overdress Vairina, that uses nirvana as an original dress.

You know a thought just occurred to me, how does Mireri know where to put her cards? Can she see blurry basic shapes on the field? Still seems weird that she can place her cards dead center (except when she's using Deity Arms as the front RGs have to be off-center) regardless.
As you knew, she's played VG since she's a child as such she knows by instinct on where to put her cards
Ofc there might be mishaps at first but you know what they say: practice makes perfect. Also her attendees can help her If she's misplaced the cards
Memory, I'd assume. Both her brain and her muscle. She probably touched the playing table first, get a gist of the size, and then placed her cards according to her memory (maybe with help from her assistant/opponent too).
This doesn't come to her in short amount of time. I can see she spent good amount of it learning and remembering all this with Haruka's help when she's young.

Agreed, I would love to see more major main characters with disabilities that similar to Mirei and yet it was unsurprisingly fitting to overdress Trickmoon because it’s essentially her own Trickstar just like Yuyu’s.
Love when Mirei carried the analogy of Overdress to Haruka which I definitely want them to continue that analogy for future seasons and generations of Vanguard moving forward.
It feels like Mirei represents the moon while Yuyu representing the sun which balances each other out.
I assume that being an blind cardfighter or anyone playing with disabilities would require different modifications and she most definitely has learned Vanguard, probably a bit longer than Yuyu in terms of Ovedress, her character is so well written overall!!! ☺️😊

i thought bav skill to SC and revive g1 or less from drop is an auto and supposedly triggered on the first armed card that turn
but here mirei activate it on the 2nd armed card..
The revive effect is locked behind the cost of soul charging, so that part of the effect is optional. You can choose to pay the sc cost to revive a g1 from drop any time you arm bavsargra. It doesn’t have to be the very first time you arm her.
Ok so back in like 2018 they changed the ruling of 1/Turn card effects from where you had to activate it immediately when you reached its conditions to where if you reach its conditions once you can pass on the skill while still having it be available later
Am a little confused. Haruka persona ride Nordlinger, and then used mask to persona ride the Gravidia Masque. Does her front row not gain +20k for the full turn?
Masque order only activate persona ride if you haven't done that yet. If you already persona rode that turn then it'll just be a normal ride
