Dad like: Leo, do not scream again. I know you are still a baby. I was like this when I was 22 months old. Man, This baby seems colic or tired. Guessed colic at first. He may be actually tired because I can see it is nighttime.
I saw on Supernanny a child who reacted same way to carseat so Supernanny recommended the carseat be brought in the house and set down for the child to play in and maybe watch a TV show with parents while sitting in the special chair. It made child comfortable with the carseat after only 2 times inside the house they were able to leave it in the car because the carseat tantrums were over.
Believe it or not we did try that for about a month. Not long after this Leo was diagnosed with Autism (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), and the violent part comes from the Intermittent Explosive Disorder! He is now 12 and still has his moments like this, but they usually get bad bad when he has plateaued on his meds and they need to be increased or changed.
parents should never allow a kid to hit them. allowing this behavior will only lead the kid to think they can get away with it and makes it harder on the parent to gain control over the child.
Your absolutely correct, no "normal" child should act in this manner! However, until you have a child with the issues mine has, you really cannot say that.
@@dnm0923 Is he autistic? Because if he is that explains his outburst. Maybe he doesn't like being confined in a seat because he feels stuck or trapped and it over stimulates him.
If a child has NEVER been allowed to go anywhere, including places he really wants to go to, while not properly buckled in his carseat then this reaction should have never occurred. This tantrum makes it appear as if he's been given a choice in the past.
I would like apology to on the rude and ridiculous people that think abusing your kid and or physically hit your kid is the answer. Obvious: your kid has special needs. I want to thank you for being good parents and show that hay you do not always have to abuse your kid or do something physical to them. Because it would have been very very easy for you to do. You 2 are heroes. Thank you
Yes, anyone who thinks abusing or hitting a child is wrong. But that's not spanking or discipline. If you think it is, then I beg you not to physically discipline any child bc you obviously don't know how to do so correctly.
Is he nonverbal? My son is autistic and nonverbal and is now an adult. If hes nonverbal look into speling to communicate , laura hursh and gatesbrainhealth,
This is simple. We sit in the car and the car does not move until you get your buckle on correctly AND shut your mouth! The end. Take it off and we will just go back inside and mommy will go by herself and leave you home. I just don't understand how these parents can just let their child make fools of them and do nothing????

I don't believe that hitting a child is right either. BUT you can't allow them to hit you either. They have to be punished in some way for that. He will think that hitting is ok and it's not.
What's the matter buddy? That's not nice. Are you kidding me? You're actually trying to talk to him now? You have him in a car seat, what else do you need to do? Then you sit next to him so he can hit you & try to bite you. And who is filming this & why?

@@marylyn66 You have no clue about autism and sensory issues. It's nothing that can be helped. When the autistic brain is in sensory overload, it makes them lash out like this. All you can do is remain calm, take deep breaths, speak softly to the child, and go your way.
