Sparx Skate Sharpener controls and alignment

This is the Sparx skate sharpener. If you or your kids skate all of the time this is a must have especially with synthetic ice. It works great! The grinding ring is supposed to get 50 sharpenings, is that 50 passes or 50 sharpenings with10 passes (500 passes)? In other words, if you have it set on 10 will you only get 5 sharpenings?

@itseducation have tournament ever seen this model sharpens one side of the skate? We had it set up and it’s aligned but the sharpen seems off

Mine seems to sharpen both sides and I put the toe of the skate to the right. You can always flip the skate with the toe point to the left after you sharpen the right and see if that helps, but I have not had any issues with this one. Get an edge checker if you have not already to makes sure the edges are even.
