It’s a good video it’s put to gather well
Thanks for the video! I see some other guys clean the copper circuit board first with mean green to get the grease off and then 600 grit w/alcohol.
There wasn't much grease on this one to start.
What a great video. Thank you sir! . Very well described and easy to follow. I was nervous to attempt but this made things much more clear! Liked & Subbed 👍. Time to clean up my Strange World i just picked up!
You are very welcome
FANTASTIC video... THANKS!
You are welcome! Randall
If I may say... you forgot to clean the sandpaper residue from the board and also grease the board. You said dielectric grease. PBR grease is not dielectric, nor should you use dielectric grease. It is only used fur unsulating. Not for moving parts.
May I ask, which grease would you use for moving parts?
Thanks for the reply. I have the same decagon unit as you. I cleaned as you did, but the scoring reel has a problem with the 9th position cam. When the cam comes around it binds the white reel from completing its turn. Have you seen this before? Need a stronger return spring? Thanks
I have had this happen, the washer must be centered or there is too much tension on the plate.
It ok to use simple green and Mean green to clean the numbers on the score reel or what else can you use? PER grease is a silicon based grease? because other repair techs use a silicon grease so not sure if PER grease is better to use
You can use any dish water detergent or all most anything as long as it isn't a solvent base cleaner. You don't want to use a heavy grease, it will gum up the mech on the score reels.
@@RetroGamingWithHopper ok thanks
Wondered why the entire copper plate is not sanded?
There's no need to, but you can if you want. You just need to clean where the fingers make contact.
