Student rips into school over ‘evil’ proposal to let transgender females use bathrooms

- An eighth-grade student in the US state of Virginia has unleashed on a school board for its proposal to allow transgender females to use the girls bathroom - asking the board “how evil” it could be for making girls feel uncomfortable.
14-year-old Jolene Grover went viral earlier in the month for addressing the same school board in Loudoun County for proposing changes to female locker rooms.
“Calling girls bigots because they don’t want to use the toilet in a stall next to a boy or get undressed next to a boy is cruel and wrong,” she said.
“It is embarrassing enough for a girl to change a pad knowing all the other girls can hear the crinkle of the packaging.
“Telling her that she must be okay doing it in the presence of boys because of their preferred pronouns are she/her - how evil can you be?”
Students should just identify as teachers. Use their restrooms, lounge etc.

Thing is, who will feel more uncomfortable. A female having someone formerly a male (or with a male body still) using their bathroom. Or males having someone that's always used their bathroom but is now a female.
The reason they're separate is the same as a male and female sibling having separate bedrooms when they're no longer children. It's just normal decency and privacy. Give these people their own bathroom otherwise, that'd be respectful to everyone.

That can’t happen. Separate, non gendered bathrooms go against the whole inclusivity idea. We just had this training at my job and if i have an issue with an opposite gendered using the bathroom when I’m in it because their new pronouns make it ok, then I AM considered the one who needs correcting, because if i object to it, I’m a bigot who is phobic and whatever “ist” is correct. We were told if we see someone we know to be using a bathroom they aren’t biologically set up for headed to the bathroom at the same time as us, it is considered hate if we stop, let them go first and wait for them to exit.

It's a dereliction of duty that this school has put the children in its care in this position. This young woman - who admits that she finds it embarrassing to be unwrapping period products in the bathrooms - has been put in the position that she has had to stand up in front of the entire student body, their parents, and teachers to talk about bodily functions. This is incredibly sensitive terrain for young people, I really feel for her.
In Canada , the government spoke of putting sanitary product machines in all bathrooms , because "boys have periods too". I guess thats for the girls that have transitioned to boys.

There ought to be a third bathrm in all places that is for the handicapped, elderly, and for any person who has a gender preference for examples. If the issue is for the safety of the person from being ‘outed’ as no one knows, as medical alterations have occurred, then special permission may be granted in private by the school principal or a school councillor.
They already have that option in this school but the transgender person said they don't want to use it because it makes him\ her uncomfortable.

Inside the stall, you do your "business" (your number 1 and/or 2), but outside the stall boys and girls change clothes, fix their make up, adjust their undergarments, and more. They can't do that in public or in the presence of the opposite sex so they do it in restrooms or locker rooms.
People are scared of mixing sexes because it makes both sides uncomfortable. Theoretically, predators could try to identify as trans just to come in to the girls restrooms, but thankfully we haven't heard of such cases making headlines. Not yet at least.

Agreed would solve every problem. But it would be hella expensive for tax paiers. I'd suggest just give trans students a key for the teachers bathroom since there's rarely gonna be more then 3-4. And just make a third toilet whenever new public restrooms are built.
