Don't forget about the Bloodskal Blade. Not only does it have 81 base damage, but it also has an energy attack that turns it into a ranged weapon as well. Not to mention it's also the coolest looking sword in the game.
i got it but i could never get the energy attacks to work so i never got to complete the area which was annoying

You forgot one very important one. "a new hand touches the beacon"
Mehrunes razor I think should have made this list. One of the best things about it is not having to refill the enchantment. When it is upgraded, it is super deadly. If you like to dual wield, pair it with Valdrs Lucky Dagger. Then you will shred everything. No soul gems required
I did that in one of my playthroughs, was a must try to any stealth build.
You can also charge the Ebony Blade by taking a follower to an isolated area and spam Ritual stone. Just gotta make sure you don't behead the follower to keep resurrecting them.

Evil is the person who kills their follower.
Best sword for me if enchanting is 100 is the Stalhrim sword with chaos skill! All 3 enchants are stronger on the ice blade.

My top 10 swords of all time after 12 years of playing Skyrim are:
10. Dawnbreaker - Benefits from One-handed, Enchanting, Destruction, and Illusion skill trees which can get really powerful when taking advantage of the fire perks, soul absorbtion and aspect of fear perks.
9. Chillrend - benefits from the enchanting, destruction, and one-handed, and can paralyze opponents for a few seconds.
8. Ghostblade - can be improved by applying ectoplasm and it is the lightest sword in the game with only 1 carry weight and it’s ability can ignore any armor and add 3 more points of damage. You can make full use of it through the one-handed and sneak skill trees.
7. Keening - with Wraithguard from Skyrim AE, keening gains secret effects that adds more magical properties. it benefits from enchanting, sneak, and one-handed, it’s effects drains all three attributes and can only be recharged by master enchanters.
6. Dragonsbane - pretty well explained on video, it is the go to weapon against dragons.
5. Goldbrand - has the highest fire enchantment in the entire game and it stacks when it benefits from the Destruction, Illusion, and One-handed skill trees.
4. Mehrunes Razor - You can kill Alduin with this dagger.
3. Cryus’ Rapier Sword (Unenchanted), stronger than the Daedric Sword and it has the highest DPS in the game. It is even deadlier when combined with Elemental Fury.
2. Grand Champion’s Sword (unenchanted), on par with Dragonbone sword and it can be either enchanted or benefitted from Elemental Fury shout.
1. Madness Sword - The strongest sword in the entire game, can be enchanted or abused with elemental fury shout.

First weapon on the list is a dagger... 😓
You forgot the umbra sword, it does 25 points of damage to health and stamina and it soul traps, plus is a 2 handed sword so it's damage is naturally good, you can get the sword from a cave near "last vigil", and be careful because the fight is hard if you are low level
It’s stupid Overpowered, but it uses busloads of soul charges. I think Chrysamere (not sure on spelling) is far more balanced, and it doesn’t use charges.
@@BobsWS61I play Umbra with gear where I don't have to pay Magika for destruction. Umbra and other weapons won't go empty and you need soulgems not anymore.
Umbra is extemely good and without going empty.
About the Lunar weapon you can disenchant it an add the enchantment in a better weapon
Great tip mate!
Disenchanting the lunar weapons and having the duel enchantment perk is a great way to create an awesome bow for killing the Dead. Drain life and the lunar enchantment work really well together. It's worth noting that the lunar enchantment works anytime. Not just during full moons.
Critical damage in Skyrim is really bad. Only your weapons base damage counts for this. Also it's not even a sword but a dagger. And It's not even the strongest dagger either.
And what's the point of mentioning poison? you can put that on any blade.
I can think of other swords which are more powerful than this dagger. For instance the Bloodskal Blade or Chillrend.

@@GamingExploits It really is not a matter of personal preference. Critical damage is just half the base damage of the weapon, added on top of the normal damage. So critical strikes with this dagger only deal an additional 2.5 damage per critical hit. Since the crit chance is only 1/4, the expected additional damage per hit averages 0.625 damage.
In other words: Every dagger with a base damage of 6 is better.

The thing about these vids is who leaves a weapon standard ? I always craft/ improve armour n weapons because it makes so much difference. Halfway through a play you can be on 700/ 800 armour and 250 plus hit rate all legit with not a single cheat. Smith with enchanted boosts ( rings potions etc of smithing) and then enchant the armour. Nothing like walking into a fight knowing you're well prepared.😊
Crit in this game is based on base damage and base damage only. The crit on a 5 damage dagger will only ever add +5 damage on a crit. So if youre doing 30damage x15 and happen to crit on that youll do 450+5 on a crit.
You didn’t mention Chillrend. The opportunity to paralyze enemies is enormous, plus it also does lots of frost damage.
I’m sorry but Ebony blade is so clear of every other sword mentioned, especially the lunar iron sword, like a regular fire sword is 1000x better because you can use it in the day
i only wear nightingale armor and didnt know its one or the best!
Critical hits are base of base damage only, no upgrades
One handed upgrades on skill tree don't affect daggers

My best sword I made myself it's a wooden sword I Smith the Daylights into it and Enchanted the Daylights out of it nothing can survive it these other swords just take up space in your inventory or in your chest at home sell them all make some gold instead of letting them sit around doing nothing

I love Dawnfang/Duskfang and the other optional weapon, Bloodthirst is awesome it's vampiric, so it absorbs 15 points of health and has the fastest swing speed I've ever seen.

I know you have to mod to get it but it's totally worth it.

The one in the middle of the 3 in the thumbnail isn't a sword, but a dagger. I feel like daggers shouldn't be considered in a sword list

Nobody talks about the Eleven sword of fire, found it during a quest, I forget which one, but it’s a straight up beast almost 1 tapping every soldier enemy I come across, truly underrated how good it is, does more damage thrn the nightingale as well

Valdr’s lucky dagger doesn’t quite work like that. Critical hit damage doesn’t stack with perks or multipliers it will only ever do the standard damage of that weapon plus 3 for the critical hit. So you may as well just use the sky forge steel dagger for an extra 4 damage that is constant

Miraak’s sword is one of the worst unique swords in the game, the high damage is only after level 60 which is way too late in the game for it to matter, also the lifesteal on the nightingale blade makes it do more damage anyway. Also the enchantment lasts like 5 hits and it sucks, it’s only good for constant power attacking which guess what, you can also do with the nightingale blade

i find the fact with how long this game has existed there's no name for different swords variants that you can get and them have to smith with the material you found it in like the shcmidter
