Best comparison I've seen. No frills, no advertising or plugging products, just a genuine, unbiased, informed comparison. Great job!

Thank you so much for the audio quality test. It seems most security cameras don't make this a strong priority.

Real quality comparison video here. I'm on the fence on what cameras to go with, I started with Blink cameras for ease of use but no continuous recordings and constant battery changes are terrible so I'm looking to change. I have a Eufy doorbell which I think does a pretty good job but I'm annoyed because not all of their cameras have continuous recording including the floodlight integrated one. I've been leaning towards TPLink Tapo but obviously the results here are disconcerting, I'd love to see another comparison of yours with better cameras, these are the bottom barrel ones that I probably wouldn't even be buying anyway.

    Hey Tristan,
Truly appreciate the time and detail you put into this video.
Have been watching videos for a few weeks now trying to find a good budget 24/7 security camber and I think you just solved my problem!
I almost pulled the trigger and got the Tapo but this review quickly changed my mind.
In your opinion would you say the eufy works just as well without the subscription?
I noticed you said you were downgraded to 1080 after getting the plan.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

You missed testing the two way audio. I'm looking for something to talk to a parent with dementia when they get up in the middle of the night, and unfortunately I still don't know which camera gives the best two-way communiacation.

Ugh good point, I'm sorry I missed this - and particularly sorry to hear about your parent. Dementia is awful. I wish you all the best under the circumstances. (And I'll aim to cover two-way audio in the future, either for these cams or in future camera reviews).

I switched my cloud storage camera to one of my eufy pan and tilt cameras which keeps its 2k resolution for eufy cloud recordings. It does ‘downgrade’ to 1080p resolution for Apple HomeKit while gaining end to end encrypted secure cloud storage. Also has up to 128gb SD card local only storage option. I have three eufy 2k pan & tilt cameras, one set up each of these three ways.

Ah nice, I hope it's working out well for you. Eufy do seem to offer some neat features - especially compared to Ring. 128gb local storage is also really nice, that's a fair bit of storage.

Excellent comparison! I have been using the tapo c200 for 2 years now and I think adding the c100 would be the good decision.
    Thanks

Thanks 🙂 Ah cool, yes the C100 is quite a lightweight camera (compared to the C200).

Hi David, thanks for the comment! What issue are you having with your Ring Cam - are you missing recordings (e.g. when someone walks past)? If so, I'd suggest to firstly check that your motion sensitivity isn't too low (check Motion Settings -> Motion Sensitivity in the Ring app, for that device). After that, maybe check that your Wi-Fi signal is strong enough (under Device Health). Feel free to reply with further details of issues you're experiencing though, happy to try and help :)
