Carter is a monster on the drums. His chops are always tasty and clean - a master of the 16th and 32nd note fill

Ok, that's the Purdie shuffle, the Jeff Porcaro shuffle on Lido, and Neil Peart's shuffle as well. Probably Steve Gadd and some others I can't remembr. Most of them in 4/4, but plenty in 6/8. All time tested way before Carter, whom I love, and way before Bruce. Can we give some credit where it's due? It's just a 6/8 shuffle, paradiddles included. Sorry, not getting the import of this as it relates to Carter. I was playing this groove in the 70s along with a lot of other drummers.

the song is in 6/8 - not 4/4. secondly the purdie shuffle uses both hands playing the doted 8th note shuffle pattern at the same time, and well is nothing like this honestly. so... i guess lastly i am wondering, why cant I make a video about Carter making this specific 6/8 pattern?

Actually that's just 4/4 triplets. A shuffle. Who is this guy?

To my ears, that’s a halftime shuffle. I don’t see how it is 6/8.

Why don't you show how it's done instead of showing iff
