Very tough people in the Appalachians! Great story!
Thank you watching it ❤
Wow it’s very nice Bulter Tenn. I never heard many towns in Tenn very nice places. ❤❤❤
Loved this segment on Tennessee history - thanks.
Some wonderful memories. 🎉
Great video! This will be another trip my husband and I will be planning. We love creaky old floors and old general stores. Thank you for taking us around the side roads of Tennessee.
That would be so hard to see your town flooded and then later able to go through the mud and see your old towns remains and artifacts. Very hard. I enjoy the museums little rooms showing what was there in the town, church windows, diner, barber shop, equipment showing this was a place where people lived and raised families. We always said good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite too! Very nice presentations!
Such a wonderful video, Butler Depot is awesome.
I'm gonna make plans to visit, & try to stay at the B&B, & eat at their restaurant. Thanks so much for sharing this video.

Imagine the logistics of relocating all those people, some maybe not so excited to be moved, and all those graves too. Very interesting video, thanks so much for sharing!

I grew up there in the late 1970's and 1980's camping and swimming in the summer! We lived in Vilas NC not far from Trade TN.

Cool Museum and nice history! We have a town near us that was flooded to make Taylorsville Lake in Taylorsville, Ky. The town was Van Buren. I don't know of there is a museum about it.
🙂👍♥️♥️⚘️⚘️
18:51 I knew the sleep-tight part but not the bed bug bite origen
So Sad they made all of those settlers move😥
I remember reading about this in grade school I thought it was awful they could come in and just buy out a town to build a lake black jack wasn’t that gum? If so it was yucky
Wow, the life and times od days gone by. The preservation of those days is truly remarkable! Sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite! TY. 😊
