Wow, the way the twins' phobias complemented each other was sad and painfully ironic. They are so marked by interpersonal trauma and I love the way you seem to have researched phobias acquired mainly through bad childhood experiences. Michael screams out of repressed sexual trauma at first sight, but also greatly aggravated by his treatment in life because of his father and later the psychological torture of Evan. In fact, this little boy reproducing this amount of sadism could not have been created just with these grotesque experiences that he lived, I wonder how much of William's mental genetics affected him. The fear of being touched and maintaining relationships? Damn, it hit me straight into my own traumas, and after your video posted now about curiosities it really made me see a horrible diagnosis. I would like to unveil what else his lore has to tell about him, because the complexity of his characters really doesn't end here at all. How much more will Mike suffer? There is no end to the humanization and shit show in this family. About Terrence? Shit. This man suffered so much in life that the only thing that prevented him from dying was precisely the pressure of being perfect, even more so after Michael. All the phobias were so well placed that I just wanted to cry in the fetal position, they generally didn't deserve it (Even though William and Evan are apparently deeper in their evil than I've seen in most AUs on this CZcams). Humans are flawed and so beautiful in their complexity. ps. Michael and a possible histrionic personality disorder to spice up the depression? Wild.
This is quite Stable & Mature, the difference between this version of Aftons fave their fears is how it's displayed, Elizabeth was able to conquer both her fears since she might have time to heal from those experiences to conquer them. [i'll update my opinions about the others] Update: So After watching all of them, I feel entirely bad about the trauma that was bestowed on the afton's. Though William's Surprised me, his only fear was Tight spaces, yet it seems to lean more into the fact he probably accepted hate that he would receive towards him and probably ain't a fear. All of them suffered in different ways, which Is not okay, so it's natural in the Circumstances there in the would feel uncomfortable with their family watching this type of information. One of the truly horrible truths of Afton's facing their fears.
I have a question about mike (or a theory I suppose). Was micheal perhaps sexually assaulted by the unspoken ex girlfriend he had in the past or by another? A random person or just someone he “new”. Of course you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to expose a secret that might be revealed in future episodes, im just curious since it might be the reason he does not like physical contact with other people (depending on who they are to him)
Honestly my only complaint for this challenge. It felt overly sadistic. Like they got nothing out of it. At least those reunions challenges reunite characters. It may me be being soft on fictional characters but i say they should have gotten some kind of reward for facing their trama induced fears
