I use neodymium magnets to hold stuff so I can tack it. You can get them on amazon for pretty cheap in different sizes.

I have the exact same panels, the website I purchased them from have the indentation facing inward, did you install them backwards or is it just preference??

This is how I installed them. I don't know how symmetrical the shape frame side to side but I guess you could flip flop form one side to the other possibly to get the patter in or out?. Pattern is just decorative anyway so I don't believe it matters.

Where did they get the "Bead-Rolled" panels? The bead raised areas add stiffening to prevent "Oil-Canning" noise and is desired. New vehicles in GMT800 use electrical passage though a large round double sided grommet. A trip to the bone yard would get you one and create a clean harness run from engine side to cab side. Don't forget bracing for the brake components if using a vacuum booster. Also, planing for A/C and fixture location for it. Just curious as some don't want A/C. This would be the opportune time for that addition. We be watching for the next video! Like / subscribe.

The passenger side was bought online from atomic armadillo metal fab and I just made the driver side one because I didn't want to worry about the steering column hole. The truck was frame off and I did not have the frame or steering column to mock up and cut the hole.

@@Burndown Thanks. Such a clean project and hope the best. I will be watching the rest of this build, as well as the older Chevelle. I guess I know when I am getting older when I was working on these as customers cars in the shop. Back when almost everything had drum brakes on the front and few had a dual reservoir brake masters.
You know you have made it when you children start to wreck their cars, instead of yours also!
Thanks again for the shout out!

@@deankay4434 You got it man! This truck is white and will be a cool little rig. I finished it and sent it home a bit ago. Im not doing assembly on it. The Chevelle is mine and will probably never be nice. Its a track car and is built to beat on and have fun with. Its a 55 footer but as long as its fast I'm ok with the looks for now. 😃
      Thanks for watching!!!

@@Burndown I had motorcycles since age 10, built my first SBC at 14, but bought my first vehicle at 13. A used 1965 C10 Apache used by a contraction company for fuel diesel cats, scrapers and backhoes. The old growth pine floor was soaked with diesel and waste oil and would never rot. $200 got me a 283 w/power glide in a short bed. It had "Fawn" closed interior and under-hood with Red alkaloid enamel factory paint. On the farm, a driver's license was issued for farm / school at 14. Gas was $19.9 per gallon as I pumped gas on the weekends for 50 cents per hour. Love the projects and HP in your Chevelle is off the hook.
I won't even start about the 1968 Charger I got paid to take for changing a Ford small block into a large block in a pickup a guy wanted. I drove that Charger for 4 years, then gave it to my brother...Before "Duke of Hazards".

Those speaker kick panels are ugly AF. I wish people would stop buying those things.

Well that is what he brought me so thats what I worked with. Im not a fan of the design either but if they work and the guy likes them well... It is what it is.
