I thought they were two waring gods that battle and injured each other so bad one became a life devouring planet the other one became a life bringing planet
they were , but primus tricked unicron into travelling between dimensional planes when he was losing the fight and this turned both of them into huge planets. they later mastered their forms into a huge planet eater, and a life giving planet

Well, if you’re going to compare them based on that scale, Unicron would be more like Morgoth, the Fallen would be Sauron. Megaton would be akin to the Witch King of Angmar.
this is from the comics its all over the place, per the original cartoon the dinobots weren't even created til after the autobots crashed on earth and that was several years later on Dino Island so just create whatever beginning you want cuz the comics are all over the place, but Unicron and Primus were brothers etc
Well, Unicron was created to be the BBEG for the movie and to sell more toys. Primus was created to be the foil for Unicron...and sell more toys.
You nailed it. Literally the whole reason we even have Transformers on screen. To sell more toys!
You put the cart before the horse. The toys sold because kids liked them, hence more toys and things besides toys for kids to like. It's not like they're evil just for making money.
In some ways everything in Transformers was created to sell more toys, but when Unicron and Primus were first introduced, they didn't have any toys based on those characters. And they didn't make toys for them until almost couple of decades later
Generation One an alien built Unicorn and another that was all energy but defeated with the help of Grimlock.
That origin makes me think of the origin of the Demiurge whom came to be because Sophia wanted to create life by herself as she’s a lower Aeon but created a monster instead.

A lot of this is different then the cartoon. I did not read the comics so I know there can be some differences. But in the show there was an alien in the G2 series episode that created Unicron. Also the Quintessons created Cybertron and the Transformers. But its interesting to see some variations of course on the theme.
Transformers lore runs so deep lol and there's so many varying backstories...but I'll say this, they're all interesting!

Unicron had 60% and Primus had 40% and yet Unicron couldn't beat him and then later on Primus made the 13 Primes that would destroy Unicron or put him to sleep so i can certainly say Primus is superior. Unicron had 20% more abilities yet couldnt kill Primus. Its basically Optimus ve Megatron. Stronger doesn't always win.

Eh I prefer Unicron in his original role as seen in the transformers movie. There was no elaborate backstory, it was just some cosmic level villain whose origins were a mystery. I liked that about him, it was mysterious and ancient feeling. It made one wonder where this thing came from. By explaining it away with an elaborate backstory it took away the mysterious allure of the character.
If you put the robots together you get one big robot.
The same story is told for all of time in different manifestations.

I thought the quintessons have created the transformers for commercial purposes.
In some versions of the transformers history you’re right. The Quintessons created them. In this particularly branch of story, it was The One.
In the original G1 cartoon tv series, they did.
In the G1 Marvel comics as well as almost all other continuities that came after that, they did not.
@@DerekUpNorth The One or the Voice is used in other comic books. Just stick to the Gen One storyline and screw the rest of them.

@@Eternalnight198 absolutely. The only one I think of where they created the Transformers is the WFC series, oh and Quintessa in Bayverse, but there was also some Jazz about Creators in the 4th film that was just confusing and rubbish. The Bayverse may as well just be ignored.

Primus is absurd and stupid. I'm glad that story with Primus is not actually part of the storyline "canon" for Generation 1.That plot is as stupid as the way the comic book version of Trypticon was a standard-sized transformer with intelligence, and was actually the leader of the Decepticons at one point. As we know from the G1 animated program, Tryptricon was a HUGE city and was very stupid.
