My old lady neighbor has a 1985 MR2, she said she would sell it to me for 2k. Its her daily driver but she just bought a new miata. Ive always loved MR2's. Never owned on though. Love your body style. That was my dream car in high school
I can relate ,I saw a red sw20 when I was in high school and always wanted one from back then. 85’s are getting popular so maybe you should snag for that price.

An alternative to spacers is to max out your negative camber on the strut by pulling the strut tops inboard as much as possible, then using camber bolts on the hubs to add positive camber up to your preferred camber amount. The positive camber will push the wheel away from the strut tower. After doing this your ride height will also be a few mm lower, which might need adjusting. There are advantages to each strategy, but I'm just a lazy SOB who doesn't want to deal with spacers every time I pull the wheel off to check bolts.
I hear ya. I tried adjusting the top hats alone and didn’t work but I stayed away from camber bolts as i figured it would mess up alignment and I didn’t want to go to a alignment shop for that.

The challenge is finding a wheel set you like with the offset you need. So sometimes you just can’t do it without the spacers.

What ET do the rear have? +35 infront, ET +22 in the rear?
The rear on the 91 mr2 is +35 and i have added a 5mm spacer that makes the offset +30. It does not rub on the stock suspension with lowering springs.
