Thank you Mam....
I love nature form my childhood
Really you are my inspiration, from today I just want to be a Wildlife biologist...
Hope one day We are gonna meet
I've to choose between the following two options: Environmental engineering program and Sustainable Environmental and Energy program, which of both present the great career then more opportunities please??
Thank you.
Perfectly explained
Dad:what will be your job security?
Me: the world is dying
Indigenous peoples around the world have communities that are very interested in finding solutions to the impending environmental and health issues that are due to climate change.
That becuase they managed to understand that there is a balance between human activity and the environment they live in that they must keep.
The people who reduced them to nothing have spent centuries developing the scientific field to reach the same conclusion and then not listen only to have placed the entire planet in jeopardy. Really funny how things work.
I CANNOT believe that you said Ecotoxicology. Lol. That's EXACTLY what I'm going to school for. 💜
Praying all goes well.
I'm 35. Single mom of 2 little boys.
This makes me feel so much better. 33, going to school for environmental science, two kids. Totally have no idea what I'm doing but hey, let's save the planet!
Good luck! 😊
Wish you all the best
Jura Stanley wish you good luck🤗
All the best
I've been a nursing assistant for 14 years and I will be graduating in April 2020 with my bachelor's degree in environmental science. Still trying to figure out how to combine the two. Your videos are very imformative. Thank you!
Would love to know what you come up with. I graduated with an environmental studies degree and I’ve always had a passion for health. Also currently trying to figure out how to combine them
It's been 3 years, have you found a field?
Ecotoxicologist?! Hmmm sounds like me ❤ I'm starting my first year for Environmental Science this fall weeeeee thanks for the video!
Oh cool, I'm going into senior year this fall but next year I want to major in environmental science. I was wondering, how did you pick the school u wanted to go to, like how did u narrow it down cuz I have a lot of different schools I'm looking at
Good luck! Learn and understand the difference between toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics, it will help you immensely with that career path.
omg! thank you so much this was exactly what I needed.
I just watched all three or four of your career videos and they're very helpful in giving me general ideas in careers and majors concerning Environmental Science. I am going to be a senior next school year (CO' 2021) and we all know that it's a time to start narrowing what majors I want to pursue in college and as well as starting to think about possible jobs in the near future. I'm creating a lists of careers and majors that you are explaining on your videos so that I could go back and decide. I'm most interested in Restoration Biologist and Sustainability Specialist.
You are awesome and thank you for making these videos!
Amazing video! Thank you so much
Extremely helpful! Thank you
Hey kristina u were the one who made me get interested in wildlife and im 14 and if i get successful in life and change this world,i will praise u😊
Thank you so much for your videos. They’re done very well; very organized and informative.
Thank you so much!
Thanks so helpful!
thank you for your videos, I'm really greatful
Thank you for this video as well as your previous two on jobs in environmental fields!! Seriously, a big help.
Glad to help!
thats kind of video i needed, i also getting into it
good channel... congrats!
Doing Great Job .. 👍🏻
I would love to be either a clean energy researcher or a restoration biologist
Thanks for your advice. Now I am thinking of going for a masters degree to enter the field of Ecotoxicology. My biology background will set me up. Thank you.
Another great and helpful video 😃 I am curious how different degrees play in the field. There are so many different degree programs that are so specialized, does it matter what degree you get if you are trying to work in the industry? How does an ecology degree differ from a wildlife conservation degree when it actually comes down to getting a job? Most of the job postings I see will say “bachelors in life science or related field...” is it really just a personal preference what you decide to get?
Ive done 5 years in accounting and my original plan was to have my own company so i could use the money to fund researches and innovations to save the earth. But now im just freaking lost and i already made i big step by moving to another country. 😭I thinj Im gonna take up environmental science soon 🌻
All the best
Im like in a similar line and plan as you are...
6:23 - Restoration Biologist & Reclamation Specialist !
Traditional Indigenous Advisor!! Wow that is so cool! Definitely for me!! Thanks for sharing all this valuable information.
I see a ton of job postings for Indigenous advisors/engagement coordinators/cultural consultants/etc so its a great path to go down :)
Thank you so much
Would it be too much to ask which jobs you’d recommend to people who want to have another job and also an environmental type career? I always planned on becoming an animator and still am but would like to be able to have 2 degrees. Preferably one in the environmental field, but one that doesn’t conflict with the schedule of my other job
So I’m still planning on getting my degree in wildlife management but I’m starting to get into climate change. Wildlife need saving too but so does the world’s climate and I’m just super confused on what to do. Thought maybe I could get a masters in environmental science a couple years after I get my bachelors but idk how the world would be so it just scares me:/
Could you make a video specifically on Indigenous Liaisons? I don't know where else to find any good, reliable, info on it and would love to possibly do this to help the local (my) tribe.
Could you make a video on career ideas that fight biodiversity loss?
that is going to be a tough one isn't it....
Yall need to talk about ecosia they are a search engine that plants trees.
Can you discuss forestry careers in a video :D
How do you choose between a thesis based and a non thesis based Masters program in Environmental Science? I wouldn't mind doing more research related work but at the same time I would like to get into a job as soon as I can! Are there any pros in choosing thesis over non thesis and vice versa?
I would highly recommend a thesis based program for everyone who has it available! To be honest, the thesis based programs are far more respected in the sciences.
I have wanted to be a National Park Ranger in the US for the past 3 years, but as I'm looking at schools for my Bachelor's Degree I kept having this nagging feeling of "this isn't enough." Of course I would love and be honored by the opportunity to become part of the NPS. But I realize I want to do more than that. I have an insane amount of passion for the environment and I feel it would be wasted there. So now I'm studying Environmental Science with politics in mind. What work can I do that will positively affect people's perception of nature? What connections and policies could I help write that would change the course of our future? How best can I serve the world and myself? These are the questions...
Who is hiring restoration ecologists? I don’t see government listings and I’m not aware of what companies work in this
I want to be a E.S for resarching and exploring
and volunteers for first responders (resucer/ranger)
I liked restoration biologist route. But what if I am most interested in restoration of soil? Is it still restoration biologist route?
Hmm that's a good question. That could be under environmental science, soil science, multiple different paths/job titles
@@kristina_lynn Thank you
To make you green choices..
Actually green job is required🍃
I am an Environmental Science Grad. from India and planning to do Environmental Technician program in Canada, how fruitful would it be in your views? and how can i make my Indian certificates and degrees count in Canada?
clean energy masters
ecotoxicologist !!!
Question, I am interested in finding other more sustainable ways to produce electricity as a way to combat climate change. Can I do this with an environmental sciences degree? I am definitely willing to further study. But I don’t know what degree to start at to go into that type of career?
Check out environmental engineering!
@@kristina_lynn thanks so much for the reply. I would love to, however I live in South Africa where they don't offer an environmental engineering degree as of yet. Thus why I wanted to find out if I could start with my BSc in Environmental Science and then maybe take a masters route into engineering?
@@xdxuwu7756 That sounds like a good route to me.
Are fish/wildlife/marine technician jobs in demand? Do you know what exactly they would be doing on a daily basis?
Yes they are, they can be competitive but the jobs are out there. Technician jobs would involve a lot of field work and sampling/trapping/surveying
That zoom in at the 45 second mark had me laughing :D
😂😂😂
wildlands firefighter is becoming a year-round job... )-;
Yeeeeeeeeeee
hi kristina hw is ur vacation days??
Lovely! Always nice to have a break 😊

all these environmentally consious jobs add to global warming due to being part of the cancer economy. say you 'earnt' 50k a year 'saving the planet'. firstly where does the energy come from to do the job. all the travelling about and materials. you will require the heated office, and the probability you will be in a university. its all from fossil fuels. and where is all that money you 'earn' going. its going on the car, holidays, house, kids, clothes, entertainment, and a plethora of other industrial products. why do you think a job is hard to aquire. because its a slice of the fossil fuelled cake, and a means to fulfil the biological mandates of feeding, growth and reproduction. any job (as opposed to work) is just another product. a product of the oil age.
Sooooo under your logic, humans should basically kill ourselves to save the planet. No offense but I only hear this argument stated seriously from teenagers with emotional issues trying to be edgy and provoke a reaction. Reassess yourself
I agree with some what you said. In fact environmental issues is all about economic that is why it is so hard for most countries to save environment. Because every country want to improve its economy in order to provide good quality of life to its citizens. and this will happen by allowing many companies to do their what they wants to do as long as they pay to the government. So there will be two way to save planet , either people accept to change their life stile, or for governments has to focus their support to environmentalists and biologists in order to find alternatives solutions for economic sectors
@@ahmedag3301 you agree with everything i say or you are wrong. sorry
I will take too my tribe beautiful woman 👩 and will start all over .
