MJL243, Thank you for this and all other UCONN Women Basketball game posts. I live in a place with no TV coverage, so these posts are often times the only way that I get to see full games.
I watched the whole game and was getting off of my computer....but then I remembered that I forgot to THANK YOU VERY MUCH to MJL243!! Whoever you are, you make my day everytime there is a Uconn game!!
so i just rewatched this...and thank you MJL243.....Edwards and Liv were fantastic...and have said it before...when on, Williams has one of the best moves to the bucket in the ncaa
hope dorka can find back her touch again..shes been missing layup for these 2 games when shes quite a good player..also whats the limit of getting foul for each player and what happen if they get a lot?
Thanks to MJ for streaming the game .Great win for uconn. The referees let bith teams play but in the second quarter with 1.3 seconds left until the end of the game i feel that they went in a different direction. Paige was structured paige not playground paige. My message to paige would be healing magnets for BOTH of those knees.

Look at the bench from 43:10 to 43:20, they sure look like an unhappy bunch don't they; they're all just sitting there sulking, counting their minutes and pissed off, right? Wrong. They're all wondering who's going to miss the next shot, who's going to make the next bad pass, right? Wrong. They're in the game, living the game with their teammates; they are ALL in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen, and kicking butt.
The early period where they were figuring out their opponent was shorter this game and by the end of the 1st qtr it was even. Maybe next time it will be even from the start. I liked this game and have few complaints. I hope Paige is alright. Nika is so full of energy and wants to do it all. She just has to find the point of aggression and violence and stay on the good side. IU did great in the paint considering they only had 1 big really. Wow were their guards quick. UConn defense was great to stop them.
That was a big win for the lady Huskies, Indania is a Great Basketball team with very skilled one on one player's be but UConn is that Good. GO HUSKIES 🍺🍺🍺🍺
He puts Dorka in for 3 minutes, expects her to have 10 points and 10 boards. Carolina should have at least 10 points in her 3 minutes of playing But, it does take each of them a while to get untracked so maybe he's right.
The big girls finally had a great game. But I can't believe that this is Liv's first double double in the NCAA's but again she been so inconsistence throughout her career. They have to do it a few more times to win it all. We will see. Go huskies..
Yes, Liv and Christyn (seniors) had a very good game. Both were full of energy. Liv is having some trouble with her step around layups and her fade-away jumper is not very accurate. So, she plays defense and rebounds and does high sets on offense. Her 15-foot jumper is pretty good, so they could do a few more of those. Christyn just needs to keep it going.
I loved watching the 3rd quarter kind of slowed down in the 4th but they had already captured momentum so it was over. Now looking forward NC State is a tough team UConn is gonna have to hit a higher percentage of their shots.
That buzzer beater 3 to end the first half shouldn’t even happened. When the shot clock went off and edwards grabbed the ball the game clock stopped. So from the time she bounced passed the ball to when it hit out of bounds the game clock would’ve already expired. How did they not catch that
Next year, Paige, Azzi, Sweet Caroline, & Edwards will make tons of those mid-range jump shots. Caroline & Edwards will get free for lots of lay-ups. Dorka will be back & I hope Amari Dewberry grows away from 30-foot jump shots & learns to play low-post basketball. So, look for an offense that will take advantage of Caroline's sneaky cuts to the basket as well as the sharp- shooting mid-range jumpers put up by Paige, Azzi, & Edwards. Dewberry needs to stay around the rim and shoot the good, accurate jumpers & hook shots that a "Cizano-like" low post center does. Dorka will become more of a high post center because she has an outside shot & she has zero inside moves. Nikki Muehl is a below-average shooter, but she's one hell of a defender: she's all East Coast Conference first team. She'll spell Paige, Azzi, & Caroline. So, look for Gino to work up a blueprint that takes advantage of the talents I just outlined.

more playing time for caroline ducharme!! she can do it all- drive, shoot 3’s, assist, and is big on defense (unlike others who can do the first three). 8 minutes is outrageous. especially when there are other players who are playing with FOUR fouls. wasting talent.
Couldn't agree more! He still prefers his "pet" players, Paige(missed shots), Fudd(how many missed shots?) Hope i am wrong, but it will be to the detriment of the team, as we progress...
She's very good, but right now she's playing like a high school kid who just jumped to the NCAAW tournament. She has to start playing like the UConn player she has been this year. Her offensive drives in the tournament aren't strong enough against these better teams, so they need her shooting outside more. She has a fine 3pt shot.
@@markhathaway9456 Once Geno, changed the rotation that they had before, the Chemistry changed... Introducing, and starting Paige, has negatively affected the balance of the team! They learned to thrive without her... Ducharme was confident and happy, and Geno cut her wings!
@@onestgermain That is exactly how I think of it. Some of these players are like teachers pets. Players like Nika and Caroline have to be incredibly tight every time they enter a game; one mistake and they are banished.
Fr. Ducharme is too good to be an afterthought. I hope she reflects on the season in the next couple of weeks and really contemplates whether she wants to sign up for three more years of this.
I don’t know why is it that Bueckers teams always suck at 3 pointers so frustrating 😩 I’m a huge fan always been supporting her and always will but that is just a fact 😓

A player fouls out at 5 fouls, you have to be subbed off and can't play the rest of the game

The big thing at that time was IU defense broke down some and allowed a bunch of back cuts. They fixed it up for the 4th qtr, but it was too late.
